I hear a lot about kerrygold butter on here. I can't find it anywhere ( I'm in Australia ). I've just been using full fat butter, but I was wondering if organic butter would be better?. I'm not even sure I can see a difference in organic butter and normal butter. Except maybe the price!. Ideas??

I could be wrong, but I think pretty much any butter you buy will be good.EditI'm pretty sure most if not all beef is GF in Aus, but a couple brands to look for would be Anchor, and Organic valley.

You don't have to have KG butter you're fine with organic or normal. The KG is just a better butter because being grass fed and all those goodies that tag along with it.

Came just to say this. Pretty sure I've heard that grass-fed is the standard in Australia, and that they actually charge more for grain-fed stuff. Weird. So just about any local butter you get would probably be great.

Ok cool, guess I don't have to buy the butter made by cows who sleep on hemp beds and are serenaded by hippy elders then hahah. Yes come to think of it grain fed beef is more expensive here. Thanks guys, I'm hungry for steak now !

Hi I'm in Australia too and I looked into this. It does seem that our cows are primarily grass fed with grain being used only where weather conditions have meant grass can't be used, drought or whatever. Also same with NZ. So it seems we're doing the best we can do here by buying Aus or NZ made butter. Also good news for steak lovers!

+1 .. The US is so back-assed-wards in regards to agriculture.

Go with any organic, or grass fed. If neither are marked as such, or not available, go with any pure butter with Non Hydrogenated Oils and that'll be fine.
