I have been on just CN and going to the gym once a week. I plan on doing the vacation protocal this weekend to see how it would affect someone that is doing what I am doing. My last CN was friday and this week I plan on going to the gym 3 times and doing at least one session of HITT. This should put me at an "over trained level" I then will fast until 2pm on friday, saturday and sunday and eat what ever I like after those times while consuming alcohol with each meal. Then monday it is back to ULC and I will hit the gym once a week and a HITT session just to make sure my glycogen is depleted before my next CN. I will post the results when I get them.

It pretty much seemed like fast until 2pm then eat what ever you like and then drink with supper. The drinking part is just around supper?

I have a few clients who vacation monthly. Here's what I tell them. They typically travel for one week out of the month, and they want to look tight and lean while they're gone. Here's the schedule I put them on, and it works every time. This is especially useful for weddings and honeymoons, long trips to Vegas, and other long stints of Hangover-style debauchery.First, let's talk about timing, using one month as an example. Here's what I have them do:Week 1 & 2: Standard Carb Back-LoadingWeek 3 (Week before vacation): Carb NiteWeek 4: Vacation timeHere are the important points:The week before vacation, I have them lower their carbs. If you're still doing Carb Back-Loading, I limit the back-loads to two (2) days that week.Carb Nite is ideal for this week, too.I also increase the volume of their resistance training. This is easily accomplished with an extra set with every exercise, or an extra day or two of training. We want to start vacation slightly overtrained. Now, here's where intermittent fasting can actually be beneficial.I have my clients not eat until the afternoon, say from 2 PM until bedtime. Here's an important point:You need to drink the RIGHT kind of alcohol. You can eat whatever you want while you're on vacation, but for the best results, stick to "hard" liquor. When you're at the bar, do shots instead of sipping wine. Or, look for drinks with lots of alcohol in them. So, let's look at an average vacation day.Morning to 2 PM: Fast. Only black coffee (or coffee with heavy cream and coconut oil) and water.2 PM to bedtime: Eat whatever you want, and drink high alcohol content drinks after dinner. This can be done up to five (5) days in a row. After this, the magic will wear off.Using this protocol, my clients always come back from vacation looking leaner than they did before they left. They're relaxed, refreshed, and ready to hit it hard in the gym again.

well I must have done something wrong. Friday, Saturday and sunday, I followed the protocol. I weighed my self this morning and I gained 20 pounds. 242 Friday morning to 262 this morning. My Pants still fit about the same, but holy smokes 20 pounds is a lot of weight.

20lbs in 3 days? There are other outside factors for sure. Did you weight multiple times or try a different scale? And if your pants fit the same you didn't gain fat.

same scale, then verified on my other scale. I know I didn't gain any fat I was just amazed by how much weight I put on. I am holding a lot of fluid that's for sure. My ankles were swollen. My body does not like carbs at all. All while I was eating the carbs I felt like crap. That's why when I get down to low enough BF on CNS and I swtich to CBL I will have to keep it clean and probably just do a protein/maltodextrin shakes for the back load.It it just a good example of how someone can get all caught up in their weight and not their fat loss.
