I get to the gym around 5 pm, I don't usually get out until 7:30. This is typically happens because the gym is full and there is a lot of sandbagging going on. That being said I have my shake at 7:30 then I have my first BL meal at 8:30. I might have missed this somewhere but I usually try to stop back loading by 10 pm? Is there a general rule for this ?I'm doing SA and I think I'm around 16% BF. would it be beneficial to drop the whey in the AM shake for greater fat loss ?

    1. The window is more based on when youj go to sleep, and some people are religious about finishing BL'ing 1-2 hours before sleeping, but I BL right up to bedtime and have no issues.  Your window should be fine, just make sure y9ou do your heavier exercises closer to the end of your workout to take advantage of the maximal glut4 contraction window of 90 minutes pwo.  That said, i've taken 2 hour gaps between workouts and feeding, and have had no problems.  As long as you have a shake, you're fine.  2.  At 16% and looking to do SA and lose some fat, I would drop the Whey if it slows you down.  I dropped the whey and had immensely better results, but it doesn't affect other people.  I really don't see the point.  I've found that the best way to start the day for SA is 1-2 tbs of HWC, butter, or coconut oil, and a few cups of Coffee.

Thanks I'll drop the whey and see if that helps. I'll try it out for two weeks. I thought the whey was to protect the muscles till lunch time from the fasting. It seems that ketones will do that for you from the MCT oil.

I believe the general rule of thumb is in the 2-4 hour range. So your setup looks good, maimike..

I'd also like to see a reference on this, because I don't buy it. Firstly, you'd want to do your bigger and heavier movements earlier on in the workout so you have more gas to move big weights.Secondly, on my program--CBL-Heavy Duty--which is written by Kiefer for doing CBL, he has the big exercises first, finishing with smaller ones. Leg days you start with front and back squats, ending with calves. Back day you start with pulldowns and pullups and end with prone laterals, etc.
