dan johnsonMemberStarted cbl last Thursday, ulc everyday and still on prep phase. Jesup Georgia here. Funny thing is I haven't lost any weight thus far and I lift heavy, 6 rep range to failure and do hiit 5 times a week. 5ft 9, 193lbs, 20% bf. Overall feeling good since I cut out carbs. With my workout schedule, do at least 10 days prep phase or more?

Richard SchmittModeratorKeep to the initial ten days. Some folks drop weight some do not. It all depends on the diet previously before and how well your body has adapted to being ULC.

Compete in BB but want to do a PL meet next year, aiming for a 1000 total (sad I know,!)Getting some coaching from Brisbane PTC and will probably do one of their internal meets to start with.

Nothing is sad man, this is an individual sport, so as long as you're busting your ass, enjoying yourself and hitting PBs it's all good! The sooner you get on the platform the better I think, no one is ever truly ready, it's a great learning experience. 🙂

Hey man. Is this question for me? Probably not the best person to ask as I just started, but I did lose about 7.5lbs on the prep phase. Are you sure you've cut all carbs? They add carbs to all kinds of stuff.

dan johnsonMemberOh yeah, I'm getting about 20g a day from fiber sources like almonds and lettuce, I do use ranch dressing but I'm not going over 30 a day. Right now I have lost about 5 pounds so far. Was already dieting when I started this, so guess that isn't to bad.
