Eloise EatonParticipantHi, I'm just starting day 1 of the prep phase of Carb Backloading. Less than 30g of carbs……! I've been reading up on fibre and usable carbs. Do I count the 30g from the usable carbs or the whole amount.I am also worried that my calorie intake will be very low on this phase and I'm sure this is not the aim. I cannot top them up with butter as I'm allergic. It's hard the keep the fat intake high enough. Any ideas?

Lesli BortzParticipantWelcome!Just to point out that its less than 30g/carbs per day and less than 10g per meal. Fiber is not counted but I would personally suggest you try and go carbless except for some light veggies - spinach/asparagus or something similar. The less carbs the better.Your calories needn't be low at all - bacon, fatty cuts of meat and some eggs will make it easier to get your calories in. You could also add MCT oil or coconut oil to your coffee.

There's a sample day of 4pm and 6pm training at the very end of the PDF file. like the third or fourth to last pages

You don't need a meal plan. Just eat under 30 g of carbs before training and skip breakfast.

Sorry to be dense but I'm also taking 10g Whey after my workout with some BCAA's and creatine. Is this good?I haven't dared jump on the scales since day 1 incase it's not working!!!! I'm now on day 4 and sticking to it well. I getting 1450 Kcal per day (roughly 136g protein, 22 carb and 90 fat). I'm 165cms and weigh 136lb, 19.5 body fat.Any thoughts on that?
