I am currently using CN protocol. Would a glass of red wine per night be detrimental to the CN program IF your carb content for the entire day was almost NIL?
Yes it would, Kiefer goes in to this on page 86. It's not the carb content that's the problem but the fact that alcohol becomes the body's preferred fuel source. You could have a glass or two on your actual Carb Nite but that's it.

What Tigerite said. I myself love me some cab sav, but had to put it on the back burner till I arrive at my desired body composition. Having said that I do believe a couple of shots of hard liquor on your CN couple of hours after your last meal is A-OK. I personally enjoy 2 Gin and Tonics (diet) .....
What if you have no weight to lose? Also what if you trained, had a shake and then an hour later had a glass of wine…..would that interfere with the preferred fuel source for the following day?
I find that if you are going to have a “Nite Out” you should have it towards the end an close to your next Carb Nite. I wouldn't do it on or after a Carb Nite because it messes with the fat burning boost. But if you do it on a ULC day that is close to your next carb Nite, it will only interrupted your normal fat burning. Once the alcohol is burned off, you should go back to normal use of fat as fuel. But I could be completely wrong, but it's working for me I go out about twice a month. Also limit the amount if food you consume while drinking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
