ksustercicMemberjust a quick question about alcohol (yes, another one):what do you guys think is better, or worse for that matter; to drink alcohol on carbnite with all the carbs alongside or to drink pure alcohol (tequila shots for example) during ulc and not eat anything while drinking? Thanks!

CBachelor17MemberIf your going to, drink on CN, with Carbs, after a training session, with the following day being an “off weights day.” Thats the sum of all information given by Keifer, at most the next morning do HIIT. And only do this every so often if your going to. Maybe once a month? Not sure what to suggest on frequency as I cut alchohol completely 9 months ago..

That is why this topic keeps coming up. I heard at least 3 more protocols as far as alcohol.

CBachelor17MemberKeifer has a video regarding it, even before he came out with the “Vacation Protocol”. Its regarding the effects with CBL but it can be easily translated to CNS as well. Youtube “effects of alcohol on Carb Backloading” by DH Keifer

beellyParticipantPot is the way to go, as long as you have the will power to not eat when you're not supposed to. If you get a vaporizer then you diminish the harmful smoking aspect from it. I do CBL and love taking a lil toke then going to town on my carb nights. I'm from SF bay area, so it might be easier for me to acquire than for othersLEGALIZE IT

SaraParticipantI know this is probably a bad choice as far as alcohol, but to ring in the start of autumn I'm going to have some pumpkin beer for my carb night this Saturday (yum). I'll probably have three beers. Would it be better to drink them in a short time frame or spread them out through the six hours?

Richard SchmittModeratorThis is a funny question, I would spread it out not over course of 6 hours but made sure they're enjoyed. Regardless I would have the three probably within the first 3 hours perhaps?

TwinkeelfoolParticipantI love my beer haha. For me, I limit myself to 2-3 beers a week. I just make sure I eat ULC and I aim to do hiit the next morning. I still get results. In a perfect world I'd cut it out all together but I really enjoy it.

Thats actually what my kickboxing instructor was saying, after a fight/in-between fights drink a beer, it'll hydrate you faster and give you energy!
