Any reason why Kiefer suggests the first meal of CarbNite be smaller versus say 150g carbs?

Sorry – I thought I read it in the book, a smaller meal of carbs and lean protein…

Its all about the insulin spike and not the amount of carbs. You just need enough to get a good spike and that's it. Then you just keep spiking insulin threw out the night.

+1 You might be referring to the "little treat" being fat free and sweet at the beginning. This is to allow the liver to sort of "get ready" for the upcoming carb feed. You should do some research through the forums + watch the tube casts. I cant think of 1 question about specifics of CN that hasn't been answered numerous times on these threads and on those videos. Just a helpful hint!

The last podcast with Kiefer and Rocky is a good listen too. Can't think of the name of the podcast but someone will post it.
