Its not a bad thing, but mannnnnn you americans eat a shit load of bacon!! It must be super cheap there!
I am a New Zealander and Bacon is about the same as any other form of meat. Maybe a little cheaper if you buy larger packages. Brought a Kilo today for $20 NZD which is about $16 USD
Well, unforetuneatly, Bacon is said to be going up (it is), b/c of a shortage of corn, which is a big part of their feed.Another good reason to go boar hunting!
That's what i heard also. Grass fed beef is cheaper for me... 1 pound of that is a great ULC for me and yields around 1700 cal when it's all said and done 🙂 bacon is damn expensive

Hog hunting for me this year, plus game hunting…that's the cheapest way I know of to get meat. Bacon is going to go up here very quick in the States, which sucks because I finally found a way to cook bacon and it be ok in my system.

its because by the looks of it on this thread and soooooooooooo many others bacon is like your staple food!! i think in Autralia its still thought as unsafe or "to fattening" i get horrfying looks when i order 4 eggs LOTSA bacon and some chicken thigh in hot sauce

Its not just you guys, people see me putting coconut oil on my bacon, and people ask, "Aren't you trying to loss weight"HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!America is so fat phobic, its frustrating, but I realize I was there at one time. It will take time, but im not sure if bacon will ever be fully excepted. Oh well, more for us!

see i like chicken thigh better it does more for me, its cheaper and more filling too!

conBacon keeps me away from sweets, one reason I utilize it some much. Also when i do eggs, the bacon grease is excellent greaser for the ban, hahahaha
