CellarElfMemberWith no loss (or gain) last Tuesday, I decided to extend my CN from 7 days to 2 weeks, so I didn't do a CN last Tuesday. This morning, my 6th week loss is 2.5#. Whether I would have lost it anyway or whether not doing a CN…dunno. My plan is to hold off on doing a CN today and do it on Thursday instead, when I can enjoy the Thanksgiving goodies. Then possibly go another 12 days to get back on my usual Tuesday CN rotation. Update on my husband...His first CN was last Tuesday and, after his initial low carb weeks, was down 13#. This morning, he's lost another 5. Another 22 lbs and he'll be at goal. We'll see if he continues with the fast weight loss, but I'm thinking probably not.
Week 1: 9.5 #Week 2: 3.5 #Week 3: 4 #Week 4: 5 #Week 5: no loss or gainWeek 6: 2.5 #November 26, 2013 at 4:47 pm #209720
Lesli BortzParticipantWhat's done is done but I wouldn't have extended another week simply because you didn't lose weight. It could have meant you needed to eat more. Too many women here associate their scale number with needing to deprive their body of food. You were on a good streak so obviously those CN's were helping. Sometimes your body just needs to settle or regroup for a week and it easily could have been water retention.

CellarElfMemberGoodness. I wasn't depriving my body of 'food'. I just chose not to . I know a lot of people have a tendency to say 'eat eat' when you're low carbing and not losing, but I know what my macros are and know what happens when I just 'eat eat' (can we say 'gain'?).

Lesli BortzParticipantSorry about that! You weren't looking for advice/thoughts. Best of luck.

CellarElfMemberNo, just posting my progress with CN. Believe me, if I'm looking for advice, it's pretty obvious. I had sooo many questions about 6 weeks back. ;D

cloudybrainParticipantYeh, I'm prolly one of the few ones on here doing a CN every 2-3 weeks now. It works better for me than doing it once a week. I was gaining muscle and adding fat every month. I've been on this diet for a year, my gym progress has massively improved, but I always been gaining. Last month was the first time I actually lost weight, and since the switch I'm down 13 lbs. But really, I only do a carb nite when I stall.
