Hi guys,I need your advice on a split routine that I'm going to do. I''m currently doing CBL SA. I workout three times a week at 6 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In the past, I did full body routine following Arthur Jones' HIT routine for years. It was the only way to workout that I knew until I found out about SS and 5-3-1. I then did split routine following SS, and then 5-3-1 after I injured my thigh. I made great progress with SS and 5-3-1, but I also gained some fat. I stalled quickly when I reduced my food intake trying to get lean. Now, I'm trying to get rid of the fat , hence the CBL SA, and focus on recomp my body by doing bodybuilding routine.Which of the following split routine is better for a 3 times a week workout: A-B routine or A-B-C routine?A Squat 3x6, (3 sets of 6 reps)Bench Press 3x8Incline DB Press 3x8Chest Fly 3x8Press 3x8Lateral Raise 3x8Bent over lat raise 3x8Biceps Curl 3x8BDeadlift 1x6Pulldown 3x8Pendlay Row 3x8Kroc Row 3x8Shoulder Shrug 3x10Triceps Extension 3x10Crunch 3x10or an A-B-C routine:A Chest and BackDeadlift 1x6Pulldown 3x8Pendlay row 3x8Kroc Row 3x8Bench Press 3x8Incline dumbbell press 3x8Chest Fly 3x8B Shoulder and armsPress 3x8Lateral raise 3x8Bent Over lat raise 3x8Shoulder Shrug 3x8Triceps Extensions 3x8 (+triceps pressdown)Biceps curl 3x8 (+hammer curl)Crunch 3x12C Legs and ArmsSquat 3x6Leg Extension 3x8Leg Curl 3x8Biceps Curl 3x8 (+hammer curl)Triceps Extension 3x8 (+triceps press down)Crunch 3x12Calf raise 3x8Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'm sure you could run either or. Like with A B, you can get in the 4x a week Day 1&3 can be A and Day 2&4 can be B. then swap it next week. For A B C, you can get in the gym 3x with some possible KB or HIIT work in between those days, just eat the ULC meals accordingly.

Thanks very much Big Tex. I currently do ABC and find that I feel less tired after workingout.

I would continue utilizing your 5/3/1 for main barbell movements! If you stalled out just drop your training max and get back to crushing PR's on your last set for the day. After that follow it up with your A-B or A-B-C bodybuilding template.  If your running ULC the fat will start coming off while still driving strength levels upward! Best of Luck!
