Matthew C GrahamParticipantI usually have 2 A.M. accelerator shakes, one around 6:30 or so and the other around 8:45 or 9. iss that enough time between. In the actual CBL book, Kiefer states multiple accelerator shakes is okay when there is at least a couple of hours between. I always make sure it's at least 2 hours in between.

sckielyParticipantWhat is your goal? The accelerator shakes are not always necessary. Particularly if fat loss is the primary goal!

Richard SchmittModeratorThen definitely drop the AM Shake. Just stick to oil and coffee

Matthew C GrahamParticipantAlright. How much coconut oil should I take in? Like I said, I usually have a cup of coffee right when I wake up and one a couple hours later. When I would do the accelerator shake, I'd usually do 1/2 tbsp coconut oil in each one. Is that enough or should I do more? Thanks a lot for all the help. I really appreciate it.

Matthew C GrahamParticipantI'm sorry, more questions keep coming up. I usually do the 10g of WPI in a pre-workout formula with another 1/2 tbsp coconut oil and 2 cups of coffee. Should I cut out the WPI there too?

1 Tbsp is good and then wait the couple of hours to have it again, 2-3 hours should be ok. If you start feeling bad or what not, then dial it to 1/2 Tbsp every 2-3 hours. No problem, glad to help

Oh boy yes, no whey prior to training. If you honestly need a pick me up then drink coffee. Do training fasted (or as best as you can) since you're doing CBL SA. Keep to whole foods for lunch. Beef, bacon, egg, coconut oil, butter, bacon fat and/or ghee is you're best bet. At least keep meals for the ULC part 1:1 in grams with fat:protein.

bbuchanMemberIm just gonna chime in here and say that I believe these recommendations above from Tex are more appropriate for guys who aren't super lean. I think when you are getting down leaner and leaner the WPI is more appropriate to help preserve muscle mass

Yep exactly. Since he's doing CBL SA dropping the whey is a good idea till that ideal look is acheived then possibly add the whey. However, this would lean towards Density Bulking too if not careful.

CaseyDMemberJust for clarification, when do you workout?

Me? Or the OP? I go in the afternoon.
July 29, 2012 at 1:25 pm #68518
Matthew C GrahamParticipantIf you're asking me, I work out at about 4:30.

Matthew C GrahamParticipantI just wanted to clarify, should I do just coffee before I workout or should I add some coconut oil?
