So someone took Dan Johns slosh pipe idea and put some light weights on the side…wtf.

John Meadows has used a prototype of this for squatting. I believe he also liked it.

I'm reserving judgement, it's jut weird, especially since I just read Kiefer's article debunking stability training. I wonder if it's the same sort of issue or if it's a totally different deal with these things.I guess application also matters--depends on what you're using it for.

when i put 405 on a regular barbell it bends so i don't really see the point!  LOLj/kBut yeah that's really weird.... I bet there is a psychological advantage to using that bar.  The weight the momentum works into your body and the whole transfer of energy from it bending.  I am sure this isn't the last we will see of bendy barbells!

As a bonus it will ruin your clean and jerk!

This is not like typical stability training though as you still maintain firm footing on the ground. To me, this is similar to lifting with weights suspended from bands like they do at Westside. If you have ever tried this, it is very challenging (can also be done using a regular barbell as opposed to a bamboo bar).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMcsVbdxQOQ
