So, seeing as there's not a great deal of information out there on using nicotine, I've taken it upon myself to play the part of a lab rat and try it out for a week.I've been exposed to nicotine in the past. I've smoked tobacco mixed with weed on numerous occasions and I was also exposed to second hand smoke A LOT growing up.First impressions: 17/2/13I snapped 2mg stick of the gum in half and I'm currently chewing it/leaving it at the side of my mouth. It took 10-15 minutes to 'kick in' before I felt anything. So far, I've got a tingle in my mouth and a slight buzz in the right side of my brain. No nausea, vomiting, ill feelings or cravings for a 20 pack. So far, so good.

Thank you lab rat.Other than reporting stim symptoms, how will you measure results/progress?

Well I average a pound a week in weight loss, I got weighed this morning and I'll get weighed again next Sunday. It's not the most accurate measure, but if I lose more than a pound then I'd say that goes in favour of nicotine as a fat burner.

18/2/13I took half a stick (1mg) again this morning before training along with 100mg caffeine. I didn't notice any mental 'buzz' today but I had an extremely good workout.Probably unrelated.I'm gonna chew the other half around 2pm.

I tried 2mg or a half piece and it didn't get me going like 4mg does. If I could use less I would but for me 4mg puts a little pep in my step, it's good clean energy, and I feel good working all day too. I only use it mon/wed/fri

Well, I guess if it feels good. You don't need to be feeling the buzz for it to up your metabolism though.

I know that but I like the extra boost 4mg gives me. My head is clear and I have loads of clean energy without a crash.4 weeks on with a minimum of 2 weeks off before another 4 weeks.

I'm about to get a pack of gum…. Out of curiosity I wanted to know how much nicotine is in a single cigarette. (Never smoked anything in 29 years)I found:

One deep drag on a cigarette can provide 0.35 mg nicotine. Therefore, one cigarette can provide 3.5 mg of nicotine and twenty one cigarettes provide 73.5 mg of nicotine.

I took the full 2mg of nicotine this morning with 200mg caffeine. I didn't feel a buzz from it but I feel it definitely works as a pre-workout supplement.

I don't chew it very much. I just leave it at the side of my mouth for the most part.
