I don't know if this has been talked about yet but……..When on CNS (or even CBL) we don't always get many vegetables or fruit in the mix because they don't seem to be prescribed with high priority... at least i know that i completely avoid them and i was wondering, how bad this is for the acid/alkaline ratio?we program our body to store less fat and utilize carbohydrates better by manipulating hormones during different times of the day;  it seems that at the end of the day/week 75-85% of the foods we eat end up being Raw meats, organic eggs, etc etc sources of protein and fat, which are very acidic.  Does having lower levels of alkaline to acid create potential risk for someone who already has cancer?  I read elsewhere that unbalanced levels of acid/alkaline is a problem (too high acid levels) and that more fruits/vegetables (which are apparently rich in alkaline) can create more balance/harmony and rid the body of toxins and help oxygenate resistant cancer cells.  I know Kiefer touched on something in a podcast about how sugar/carbs can also feed cancer cells, which was inline with what i read... cancer cell fermentation via sugar... which raises the question, "does the positive effects of not consuming sugar/carbs 80% of the week balance out the effects of bad acid/alkaline levels? I know there is that recommendation of a multi-vitamin, but i just have a hard time believing that a multi-vitamin can void hypothetical damage/effects of eating 32oz of raw meats a day which is kind of essential for someone who is muscular and about 200 Lbs.I know that DH isn't about general health, more than getting shredded the best way possible and growing muscle, but when you have the appearance of jacked athlete, i think you should have great general health on the inside too.

I think it might have been on FB or on a vid. I'm not gonna go looking for it 😉

I personally feel the whole Acid/base balance thing is bad science.Just eat some veggies now and again, control your food quality, mostly fat quality and you'll be good.

I don't know, I think balance is Pretty essential -  what is your viewpoint based off of that denies acidity/alkaline science?

I just haven't seen any good science to prove how important it truly is.I think balance is great, but I just don't believe that meat is causing cancer and they we need to cut it out and eat pounds of veggies.I think if you are eating less carbs (Or at least using them correctly) and eating quality meats with some veggies thrown in here and there we will be good.I personally don't think everyone should cut all veggies while on these diets, I think they make eating this way easier. Throw a handful of pepper and spinach in your eggs and your set.

Well it's not saying in particular that MEAT is causing cancer ( i mean, my breakfast is usually 12-16oz lean beef) but that it creates a lot of acid a la digestive process and that the mixture, per se, is too rich and should be balanced out with alk. or the veggies/fruit. That information, or lack there of, seems to be absent.  i don't know if it's because 0 carbs provides enough benefits that it even matters or what... just trying to see if it should be emphasized or not for overall health.I read a book a while back about bodily energy systems and in there is talked about how the levels of acid/alkaline are vital and if that they fluctuate slightly it could be severe.  Now i can't find that book online to reference but i prob have it somewhere at home.  Just kind of odd to run into this acid/alkaline thing again...

I believe it was Robb Wolf who talked about how the body will automatically regulate internal PH levels and that using externals means to test it is useless.

I've read about the acid balance thing as well and take greens too, not althletic greens but an alkalizer type drink.  Seems like a seaweed type mix to me..

I'm intrigued, and might look up an article or two at lunch and post. Chris
