Hey guys, I'm new to CBL. Just started density bulking this last week or so. My main goal with CBL is to really put on some good size and weight and gain strength. Currently I powerlift and weight about 205lbs and have been competing in the 198lb division. I want to go up a weight class (220) so I need to be somewhere between 220-230. I was just curious if there were any competitive powerlifters in here that have had long experiences with CBL and can share what has worked best for them. Moreover, strength and size are the first two goals. That has to matter over everything since you don't win a powerlifting meet by looking shredded. That said, aesthetics are still important to me. Do I need or desire to look like an on stage bodybuilder year round? No. But I would like to gain size whilst staying close to the aesthetics I have now. I am not incredibly lean but when I flex my abs are fairly clear (some fat there but you can see them) and I have defined muscles throughout my body. I don't know my body fat percentage but I don't think anyone would call me fat. (I can post pics I guess if that would help)So if anyone has any experience powerlifting while doing CBL and trying to stay a bit on the lean side but not necessarily be shredding the fat, please share your experience! Thanks! Also, my diet is pretty standard from what I have read on here about what people do. Coffee in the am etc... no carbs all day (i.e. bacon, maybe an egg, chicken salad made with baby spinach, cheeseburger no bun, steak, veggies etc...) And then after I train I pretty much destroy myself in my kitchen with all the foods I have been avoiding most of my life.
