… I feel almost guilty for not having Intra. Yet trying to burn fat but figuring out a way not to inhibit that process with Intra.5g creatine and green tea is what I have between having Pre. I have hydro casein some where. Maybe I might need to mix hydro case and dextrose.

Yeah, I am on CNS, and trying to prioritize fat burning.  Otherwise, I'd be taking my usual 10g of BCAAs intra-workout (possibly w/ some carbs).I use 5g creatine + pinch of salt, in 16 oz. water.  Haven't lost ANY muscle, and I am in my 2nd CNS cycle.  In fact, I have added a little muscle (and I am not a beginner). You should be fine as long as your diet is in check (proteins and fats).Cory

I mix 10g EAA, 6g Leucine, 10g BCAA, 10g Glutamine(in a 2L water bottle). I also take 5g Creatine, 4g Beta Alanine straight in my mouth and slam it back. I down a third approx 15-20min before my first exercise, usually on the drive over or in the parking lot of the gym(w/5g creatine and 4g Beta Alanine), I sip a third throughout my workout and finish the remainder at the very end or sometimes 30min later with my PWO shake.I've been doing it for about a year. It tastes like ass but my workouts and recovery are much better with it than without.(or it's all in my head)For those of you using a "pinch" of salt pre/intra. How big are these pinches? and does it matter what kind of salt you use?

I got the idea out of an Iron Man magazine, but I know that Steeve Reeves used to use salt + lemon juice + honey in water as an intra. When I say "pinch", I mean however much salt you can pinch between your pointer finger and thumb.  It aids in vascularity, and it DOES work.  Sea Salt is my preference, but table salt works fine too.I put a pinch in my pre, intra and post-workout shakes / mixes.Cory

With a protocol like that moonlight you might want to think about just getting a workout drink like biotests Anaconda or VPX synthesize. Or even just some straight whey hydrolysate or pepto-pro (Casein Hydrolysate) Itll certianly taste a lot better and give you the same results. May even be cheaper over all.

I've tried two containers of VPX Synthesize and I don't think it is that special.

I really liked it. I had to double dose it to get an effective amount of protein though. And in that respect it can get a bit pricy. But you could always buy straight pepto pro and mix some extra with a normal dose of synthesize and might save some money.I think Biotests Anaconda was a bit better as far as quality. They didnt pack it full of miniscule amounts of extra dubious crap either. But it is expensive as well and such a pain in the ass to mix up/take to work before gym etc.Thats why my go-to workout drink is 2 scoops of Scivations Xtend and 1 scoop of ON Hydrowhey. Cheaper. Not as tasty. But does the trick.

I agree, could get a little pricy with a double dose. I usually have a scoop of Synthesize and a scoop of Aminolast, the combination of which is generally delicious.

Anaconda and Mag-10 are so expensive, but I want to try them once just to see if the claims I've heard about it are true.  I was reading an article about Dave Tate and John Meadows just shredding certain workouts with ridiculous volume and waking up without DOMS the next day.  I imagine a good deal of it is sales, but I find Meadows to be pretty reliable.

I trust Meadows and Tate but only to a degree. It's difficult to completely trust someone when you are not 100% certain of their motivations. I mean, I would tell people that Biotest products cured cancer herpes if it meant I would get free supplements.

Exactly. At T-Nation I use to feel the same way about CT back when it was only Nate Green and Chris Shugart pushing products. Since Green left(or at least stopped writing articles and doing interviews) they made CT the poster boy and now it's like you shouldn't even listen to his advice unless your following the supplement protocol. I think now they are doing the same with John Meadows and Dave Tate. It's great for them if they are getting paid for it but it'll change the way I read and interpret future articles by them. If Dan John, Jim Wendler and Eric Cressey start pushing the protocol, the mayans were more or less correct.

Wendler pushed Mag-10 in his latest article! Blew my mind!

In another topic people were talking about how they used to try to recreate their own anaconda/mag 10 for cheaper, but I couldn't find the ingredients anywhere.  I know casein hydro is in both, along with fast acting carbs, but I'm unaware of the exact ingredients.  Wouldn't mind trying to form my own intra-cocktail around them.
