agentmadsParticipantWhat does work best for you guys?backloading all you carbs at once in one sitting, maybe at dinner,or, get half of your carbs at dinner, and the other half about an hour later? or, is there no difference?

samuel r walkerParticipantSeemed to make a difference doing them all in 1 meal, within an hr pwo, after a few weeks it kinda leveled off tho.. So it rlly comes down to personal preference I suppose. If u like eating it all in 1 meal then go for it, its a great way to get satiated, if not then space it out iver a 2-3 hrs. Prolly wont make much of a difference in the long run

Brandon D ChristParticipantGenerally most people get the best results with starch based backloads. This doesn't mean just “clean carbs” starches also mean stuff like pizza and French fries. What it doesn't mean is chocolate and candy.

Scope75GuestTons of good candy that's pretty much corn syrup based seems to work fine for me.

Yea I guess it's important to mention that corn syrup (not High Fructose Corn Syrup) based stuff is usually ok.

That's why I threw that out there. Candy can be good you just have to pick the right kind.

agentmadsParticipantThanks for the responses!I do mostly starches - white rice and white potatoes, which seems to be the recommended..The reason why I ask both about backloading all carbs at once and glucose or sucrose, is because I've found that when I eat 100-120 g of carbs, even after a heavy lifting session (1+ hours), I get that tight looking skin and kinda full muscles the next morning. If I'm having 170+ carb I feel kinda watery the next morning.I think that 100-120 g seems oddly low, so I was wondering if backloading all carbs at once and glucose or sucrose could cause me to feel watery the next morning? Or, should it make no difference? Or, maybe my I just don't handle carbs well? I'm confused.... I'm 6 ft. 170 lbs, at around 10-12 % body fat. And want the effects of CBL SA.Thanks

Scope75GuestYeah that's not much carbs at all to be watery when eating 50g more than a non watery morning after. Did you use to be really overweight?

agentmadsParticipantno not at all.. would guess my max was at 15-17%

While a little low, that actually sounds rather appropriate. You really aren't all that muscular, so I wouldn't expect you to handle that many carbs. What does your training look like?

When I did CBL-SA, I did it both ways; 2 CHO meals PWO, and 1 CHO meal PWO.. I noticed no real difference in progress.
