another issue with psyllium as it can cause inflammation in the digestive tract.. this can lead to a lot of issues for some people over time

IronDudeMemberWhat are your thoughts on flax seeds? I know its only vegetable fat but the acid profile is pretty good. they also seem to help with digestion.

Isnt Metamucil rather high in carbs? I mean usable carbs?

flax seed has many people on both sides but the fat in it is very unstable and extremely susceptible to oxidationhere's one article about flax and ALA http://butterbeliever.com/are-the-benefits-of-flax-seeds-worth-it/personally i don't use flax at all..

millerapMemberI see that this is a heavily debated subject. I guess I did not mention that I come from a background/history where I tend to be on the loose end of the spectrum ALL of the time (my whole life). It just seems that the extra fat/protein without the veggies (I've most recently been doing a paleo diet) has seemed to make the problem even worse than “normal”. I'm leaning towards a supplement kind of based on that, plus continuing to try to up my veggie intake.IF I'm going to supplement the recommendation is Triple Fiber though, correct?

Depending how long you've been on a paleo template, that can happen. For some people it only takes a week to subside, some people it takes 2-3 months. It's about healing the gut.

2 slices bacon, diced, into hot pan. Cook until almost crisp. Throw in 1-1/2 cup broccoli, salt and pepper to taste. Toss. Cover. Cook until broccoli is getting soft, tossing every so often. Add in 1 tbsp butter, cook another minute or two. Slop onto plate. Eat with Steak, chicken, more bacon, whatever.I also do this with spinach and brussel sprouts. And I hate vegetables.

leasky36Participantive found eating Scandinavian crisp bread helps me when it comes to the toilet, think a few days this week ive had a couple of them with some coconut oil and butter, before i have my first meal, and ive been adding in some veg either a red pepper or some mushrooms with my dinner at night

I used to think I didn't like it, but I'd only ever had it oversteamed. Asparagus stir fried in bacon fat is just about my favorite veggie to have alongside a good steak!
