Hi,Previous to CBL, I've never had Charley horse issues but now am.  From reading here and elsewhere, it seems I'm not getting enough electrolytes, particularly potassium.  I'm most definitely hydrating enough (sweat very easily so it's always been a necessity).Besides spotted bananas, what's the most effective and economical way of replenishing w/o violating CBL principles?  I've looked up a few electrolyte replacement things (my kids' pedialyte and Zym Catapult) but they seem to have minuscule amounts of potassium....is that really all I need?I saw a poster say he uses 'elete' drops - anyone use them or their tablet form? Thanks!William

i use straight potassium capsules that can be purchased at any local supermarket / vitamin store.  When backloading, i can't always drink enough water to keep from cramping (due to high amounts of carbs) so i pop about 150mg potass. and that seems to help.

UGH! Too MAny Supps/Pills!!!! About a month ago, I was seriously worried about my electrolyte balance too (after switching to the detox diet where there are zero food products to supply the extra minerals). All I did was add a smart water a day. My supermarket sells a generic brand and I get 10 of them for a dollar a liter. Also, a couple of pinches of mortons lite salt in a glass of water (somehow, makes even bottled water taste “cleaner”). Haven't suffered any cramping since. (soreness is an entirely different story, and massage is an expensive but effective solution) 🙁

I've taken Taurine for cramps, with great results.A lot of guys use Taurine, esp. during a cycle of gear, to relieve the cramps in lower back or calf from the intense pumps.Just a thought, worth a try.Cory

looking back i  think the purpose of actually taking it was to acquire foot cramps HAHA  results were not worth the annoyance.

ehh, i would say i got it from a shitty research chem company before i would knock clen.  i was using it to drop bodyfat, but i didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.  this was a few years back too

You're assuming that electrolytes (or lack thereof) is the reason for your cramps. Could be trigger points in the muscles. http://www.painwhisperer.com/ptpath/ptpath/ptpath/calfpain.htmlAlso make sure that you dont have your sheets tight at the bottom of the bed. If you are essentially contracting your calves all night its no wonder you get cramps. You should be able to sleep with your foot neutral and not in plantar flexion.

My Chiro has me take Magnesium Malate before bed when my back spasms up, seems to help a lot with muscle spasms. And a lot of people are magnesium deficient to begin with, stress depletes magnesium among other things.
