jcgomezMemberI was on the DH Facebook page this am and someone posted about BioForce HRV. Kiefer “liked” the post. Anyone have any experience with this product? What were your thoughts?

jcgomezMemberhttp://www.bioforcehrv.comIt tells you if you are training too much or not enough, when to rest or train. It keeps you from over training.

Intensity JunkieMemberI have been toying with the idea of getting this, but I am not sure if I should bother since I am quite in tune with my body and the 5/3/1 allows you to get more rest and recover more. BUT you see people like Jim Laird using it who I'm sure knows way more about his body than I do about mine and… well maybe it is worth it.Also what makes me think it could be worth it is I see the difference in my body and water/weight retention when I am stressed so I can only imagine what that does to my performance.

+1. Stress definitely affects my progress more than I'd care to admitSent from my DROID Pro using Tapatalk 2

Tanner FoxParticipantMine should be on it's way. I think it will be a great tool in finding exactly how much you can take and how certain things affect your body (stress, food, etc.) I will be one to admit that my ego has forced me to push through some workouts even though I feel subpar and pay for it later. Personally it will be easy for me to see that Green, Amber, or Red color and have a concrete status on how hard I should push it for that day.Like Kiefer said in his podcast, maybe a ways down the road the shockwave app will integrate with the HRV.

jcgomezMemberTF, will you let us know your thoughts when yours arrives? And if you find some kind of contact information when your unit arrives, would you inquire if a Suunto Quest HR is compatible? Thank you in advance.

jason morrisParticipantI've used both Bioforce HRV and the Ithlete App- you can probably save some money by getting the reciever with Ithlete, but the bioforce app tends to be more in line with my recovery state then ithlete. Also the HRV book that comes with Bioforce is well worth getting on its own. i don't know what it is that makes the results and training recommendations different between the two- but they do NOT have the same results. Go with the bioforce app.

Marty P KochParticipantI looked into the BioForce, but unfortunately I use WindowsPhone and they have no plans to roll out an app for it due to low market share. Sounds like a great tool, but not great enough to make me drink the 'Apple kool-aid'.
