TriniechuMemberSo today I took new photos of myself from when I first started carb nite and they look exactly the same.I realized that different shirts shape my tummy differently, and make my round tummy look smaller. But i'm not giving up. My weight is going down, just not the inches! It's funny because I didn't care as much about my weight going down, but more results by looking at my photos! But i'm going to be patient and keep on going. It has to be working since my weight is going down.Hmmm what do you guys think of adding cardio to my exercise routine? I usually do mostly strength training and heavy lifting. no cardio whatsoever. but possibly adding just a bit of jogging on the treadmill after my exercises.Thank you in advance! 🙂

GnomerParticipantwhat's your daily meals like now? you still eating a large breakfast? if so i'd drop that(try just having some coconut oil and coffee if you wish) and move more food to the afternoon.. if you do add cardio i wouldn't do very much of it

TriniechuMemberyeah my breakfasts are usually 600+ cals.Usually 2 eggs, coconut oil, cheese and some kinda meat. Sometimes I add 1/2 an avocado too.Yeah im not really a runner. But maybe just a little bit of cardio might help. I was thinking of walking on the treadmill with 12 incline. Or just slow jogging on the treadmill for 15-20 mins for 2-3 days a week. Do you think that would be too much?

i can't comment much on cardio as i don't enjoy it so I don't do it:P but you can try it.... and yea id really try and move those breakfast calories to later in the day... if your body is fat adapted enough you should have no problems at all making it till lunch with nothing to eat or just coffee and some fat like heavy cream or coconut oil should suffice

TriniechuMemberI'm definitely going to give that a try. How about if I wanted to change it up? Would the coffee, grassfed butter, coconut oil and 2 eggs would be good for a light breakfast? Or even coffee and have a few slices of bacon?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

the point is you want a prolong a fasted state to keep your body burning fat.. just coffee and coconut oil(as long as it's only a little bit of coconut oil) won't do much to disrupt this but you add eggs and bacon and other things it's no longer a fast and the body will use that as its energy source and not your bodyfat....

TriniechuMemberOh I see! I meant the grassfed butter into the coffee too.Like BPC in the morning would be ok?I definitely understand what you are saying. So a teaspoon of coconut oil would be good? I read some people put 2 tbsp and 5 tbsp of butter. But for my BPC, i only use 1 TBSP of coconut oil and 1 TBSP of kerrygold butter. Do I even need the butter in the coffee? Sorry for all the questions and thanks so much for responding. I really appreciate it 🙂

i would think that much fat for breakfast is not needed just a little bit of coconut oil like yea a teaspoon or two.. you load up on AM fat that's now your fuel source till lunch.. so again i'd try and keep yourself in a fasted state for fatloss at least till lunch

SpatzModeratorIf you do try to add some cardio, make it HIIT, don't just kill yourself. 🙂 HIIT's funner than just running around.

Walking is always good. For everyone. It's the one type of "cardio" that is always fine and beneficial. As long as it's at a pace that you could easily hold a conversation without running out of breath.

cloudybrainParticipantYeh I usually am in a 12 hour state fast. So My dinner was at 9pm the night before? I wake up.. and give myself atleast 3-4 hours before eating anything solid. But I drink a 2 cups of coffee with coconut oil <– that's my breakfast.Btw.. belly fast is usually the last to lose. So all the fat around might lose first, then next is the belly fat. For example.. if you ever ran long distance.. touch your arm.. touch your head.. touch your calf.. and those are warm.. touch your belly.. it's cold. Your body is just trying to do as much as it can to keep it, it's central to a vital part of your body.. the core. The good thing about having a low carb diet as well, is that there is research to back up the fact that you will lose visceral fat fast than any other diet. Visceral fat is the underlying fat that exists behind your ab muscles. If you ever seen those "basketball" bellies.. where they seem to have muscle and skin but no loose hanging fat? That's because they have a TON of visceral fat.. which leads to heart disease, diabetes, and other major complications.

Hitt is the way to go ! 2:4 or 1:2 fastest tempo you can then relax that heart rate for either 4 min or 2 min 3x a week. It's bearable.... My Journey started 5/13 CNS now starting CBL

GnomerParticipantthis article has an interesting view on cardio saying when your glycogen depleted for fat loss it's best to do some short light aerobic exercise at 60% your maximum heart rate so a light jog or brisk walk would do fine for this… worth a shothttp://www.bodysculptinguk.com/muscle-glycogen-replenishment/
