CarlspacklerKeymasterHi all, new here to the forum. Been on CBL for a few weeks now and doing pretty well with fat loss and muscle gains. I was going through some posts and saw someone else bring up protein factorys blend d and h. I have been taking blend d with my morning coffee and mct oil and both blends in my pwo shake with some other crap. My question is, does this seem right or am i just being a fucktard that cant apply what he reads to what he ingests?

Brandon D ChristParticipantI wouldn't use those. I believe they contain hydrolysates and you should only use those PWO.

CarlspacklerGuestMy morning shake (blend d) does not contain hydroslate. Any why wouldnt you take those? Not to sound like an ass but you just seemed to be pretty blunt about it. What would you recommend instead?

That's not what the Protein Factory website says:http://proteinfactory.com/shop/Dangerously-Hardcore-Blend-D/?page=3Anyways, Kiefer said about a year ago that he no longer recommends those. I would imagine the hydrolysates are the reasons why.

Hydrolysates are absorbed more quickly into the stream than other proteins which raises insulin levels more quickly and potentially to higher levels. We don't want that in the morning.

Hydrolyzed protein is nice PWO, but it is really only a small benefit. If you have to pick between one or the other, you definately want isolate as it is much more versatile.

CarlspacklerGuestWhat about a casein for pwo along with the isolate? Overkill or good? Im just going off the books recommendations for the shakes so im just not sure if they are still the best or if there is something better.

Would you say its a waste of money to buy both on a regular basis?I bought both a few months ago when I switched to CBL and I am nearly out of Hydro. Would it make much of a difference if I stick with Isolate?

I can't really say it's a waste of money because I buy it. Let me put it this way, if you are already eating high quality foods (grass fed beef, grass fed butter ect.) and you are training at good gym that has everything you need, then you can buy the whey hydrolysate. If not, then take care of the other two first.

Strictly on grass fed beef, no nitrate/hormone bacon, omega 3 eggs, grass fed butter, and vegetables during the ULC portion of the week. I train at a really good indepent gym where I can do what I want in terms of lifting.I been mixing hydro and isolate PWO with the additional recommended recovery supplements

Then take it, unless you are having money problems.
