jlbpaMemberAre these blends still optimal or is there new information since their release? I've seen a few recommendations here and would like some insight. Thank you.

FairyGuestI think one of them is no longer used

Richard SchmittModeratorBlend H is still very much recommended for a PWO Shake. Blend D isn't really acceptable any more but if you do have any, use it in the backload time and no where else.

jlbpaMemberSo what is now recommended for in place of blend d? Thanks

Nothing honestly. Just stick to Blend H and have some whey isolate if needed during backloads. Or just use Blend H

Big Tex, is this just for CBL or can also be used for CNS? Currently I am using a blend I created myself on Protein Factory, as I wasn't aware of this Blend H, which is 50% Isolate and 50% Hydrolyzed. Is this blend ok for CNS?

Richard SchmittModeratorYep it's good just no carbs.

jlbpaMemberSo I've decided to customize blend h. Is anything suggested for ULC days and times or should I just stick with good old food? Thanks again.

Gerald F. SantoleriParticipant(Re-posting this here as I think it's more properly placed)So as the last of Protein Factory's Blend H runs out on me this week it's obviously time to order more. But as I understand it Protein Factory is no longer preferred compared to True Nutrition. Looking around the various sources (The CBL book, DH articles, Forums, Facebook etc.) I'm tryin to establish what's the most up to date recommendation post workout (I'm running SA).CBL e-Book Recommends:40% Whey Isolate, 30% Casein (intact), 30% Hydroslate (Whey, Casein or Both)The Protein 2.0 Article Recommends:50% Whey Protein Isolate Microfiltrated, 40% Hydrolyzed Whey Protein High Grade and 10% Hydrolyzed Whey Isolate Ultra Grade.Blend H Itself:45% Ultra Amino 97 Whey, 20% Hydrolyzed 1400, 5% Hyrdolyzed 520, 30% PeptoProAny of these the "most" correct dosage? Or are they all viable?
All man are the same except for their belief in their own selves, regardless of what others may think of them

Richard SchmittModeratorThose seem pretty good.

Go HeavyParticipantThe pepto pro is so freakin expensive…any big advantages over membrane miceller casein? I switched in miceller casein in place of it because of the huge price difference. I know the pepto pro was talked about positively somewhere but didn't see it. The protein I got in is basically blend H with 10% more amino 97 and 10% less casein. I usually eat alot of meat even backloading so I didn't think the slow digesting protein was as neccessarry. 1/5 of it is slow digesting protein..should still be enough right? It's still an improvement on the iso sensation 93 i had been using which is soley whey isolate. Hoping for a little bit of a boost in results for the $ difference between this and regular isolate. Got some dextrose as well. I think it'll help me clean up my backloads a little better getting the need for sugaryness out of the way sooner should help with the intense cravings for all things frosted. Lol

Pepto Pro is hydrolyzed casein, similar to casein (in terms of digestive rate, etc) in name only.Significant advantage of Pepto Pro over hydrolyzed whey and standard hydrolyzed casein is mostly taste. PP has been de-bitterized. Where are you looking for Pepto Pro by the way? True Nutrition's prices aren't too bad, especially with the coupon codes. (5% with any of them - AND028 is one.)

Go HeavyParticipantProtein Factory. It's the most expensive thing they offer that I saw. 30 something a pound. If the only major advantage over hydrolyzed whey is taste then I'll gladly pocket the money. I just used my new protein mix today after doing deads and upper back and it tastes fine. I'm just going for best cost to effectivness ratio. I can be a little frivelous..but not an extra $20 just for taste. lolI'll go through the 5 lbs and see gauge my improvement. The Dextrose is awesome it's just like powder sugar. Deffinately gonna keep that regardless of whether I keep using this or go back to regular isolate.

It is a few dollars cheaper at TrueNutrition. Depending on what whey hydrolysate you're using PeptoPro likely has a much higher number of di and tri peptides. Whether or not that results in any appreciable difference is open to debate.
