Rob HaasKeymasterAny thoughts? Heard about it watching a BioS3 RawTV show. Seams to be decent immune system booster as well as does have some benefit in adding LBM. I'm guessing due to the IGF1 content.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorThere is a VERY small amount of research showing you can get some benefit to hypertrophy from it.However, the amount used was WAY more then you'd get from a serving of most products, and you would need to spend obscene amounts of money to use a studied dose.

This... I have several sups that have colostrum in it that I take daily as part of this cycle: biogro, myo-x, my primary protein powder ANNEX, and I'm fairly certain it's in my Musclemeds Secret Sauce as the bio activated peptides. I've grown no better this cycle than I have when I used only the annex, which has very little to start with. I will say I've been keeping in good health despite the amount of stress I've been putting on my body, but that could just as easily be better eating habits with micronutrients. Some people may see hypertrophy benefits, I'm not among them. The immune system bonus is definitely possible, but correlation doesn't equate to causation. Just my own experience with the products FWIW. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rob HaasGuestThanks Guys. Sounds like just another useless BS supplement. Odd that I had never heard of it before and I thought I heard of them all.

Robert x OlearyParticipantI know some old schoolers that used it back in the 40s and 50s (fathers of friends what also bodybuild) and it was just broscience back then too. I figured I had to try it though, given I'm competing in “open” competitions (no drug testing) as a natural builder. Anything I can do to help make up for the edge that the guys on the juice have on me :-/. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rob HaasGuestJust revisiting this after reading Dr Jaminet PHD book. He pretty much agrees colostrum supplements are useless but also tells why. He says there's a whole matrix of micronutrients that needs to go with colostrum to make it effectively work. Anyway he recommends to just make bone broth and take a cup a day and you'll get everything you need. Being an old powerlifter and wanting to get back into competing at some point, this seams simple enough I may have to give this a try.
