$24? or I can get a Buy it now off eBay for $15 w/ free shipping. I don't need the bottom caraf, just place it over the top of my cup. OR I can watch these auctions and see if I can get one for $12. I'm a penny pincher,ย ๐ patience is a virtue and saves you moneys.I forgot about my coffee for about 30 minutes/hour and it was still blended when I found it sitting on the table later. I'm very happy with my whisk. Something so simple worked better than I would have thought.ย ๐

SpatzModeratorOoh! Well golly geeze!ย ;D That's great! Except shipping is only free if I have Prime, which I no longer do. (OR if I buy over $25 worth of goodies, which I don't need. -Unless I REALLY want some MCT oil.) However, I can buy one for a total of 14$ w/ s/h which isn't too shabby.

SaraParticipantWow. I feel like an idiot for not thinking of using a whisk. Maybe I'll give this stuff another shot!

CainoParticipantGood news! ๐Firstly, I tried cold brewing my coffee (thanks for the suggestion Backlash!) since I'm still watching some Hario pour overs on eBay that have yet to end ($12? Worth a shot at getting good tasting coffee...) and I must admit, cold brewing wasn't bad! I could definitely taste a sweeter edge to my coffee instead of a burnt hint. That was nice, and I tried it with both my hubbys Dunkin Donuts brand and my Sprouts Chocolate Hazelnut. I think I'll start cold brewing until I get to try that Hario pour over. The quest for the best tasting brew system begins..... Secondly, I was complaining to my hubby this morning about not wanting to use a blender for my coffee and oil, and mentioned the shaker bottle which he commented about me breaking with hot coffee... so I just started using my spoon and despairingly remarked "maybe I can blend it enough with my spoon.." the hubby then suggested "why not use a whisk?" It worked! Just by using my hand I was able to whiskย that bad boy up with a froth and no oily sheen on the top! 1.5 tbs kerry gold & 1 tbs coconut oil! I'm one happy camper ^_^ My coffee was very enjoyable this morning.
its a major crime to cold brew your coffee, that is all

What can I say? I like to live... dangerously. >:DThe hubby likes my cold brewed coffee as well, so I made some more last night and used a different bean this time. I think I prefer this method over the ol' pot, it just needs preparation and thinking ahead. I almost forgot to soak the grounds last night!I'm actually going to try the Hario pour-over method just using my kitchen funnel and a regular coffee filter. See what sort of coffee mess I can make in the kitchen!EDIT: Well I did it! -and it worked out pretty dang great. I think I still really like cold brewing better, but there wasn't too much of a taste difference. Cold brewing was slightly sweeter, and the Pour Over method was a little more bitter and stronger of a coffee. So while I prefer cold brewing, I'm positive my hubby will love the pour over taste. -Both ways taste better than using our yard sale coffee maker....ย ๐
