Regular butter isn't grass fed so it has the wack omega 3:6 ratio of grain fed cows. Now regular butter will work but its not optimal.

+1The balance of Omega 3 to 6 is much better in grass fed. Also grass fed has high CLA(conjugated linoleic acid). CLA aids in the reduction of body fat and increase in muscle. Stock up on summer grassfed butter. Winter butter doesn't taste nearly as good. Butter freezes really well. I always buy a bunch when its on sale.

Ah I will surely use this piece of information for next go around on the summer butters. I know KG has sales once in a while. I'll search around for other grass fed butters. I can get the generic stick butters no problem.

Tex, Have you checked eatwild.com or localharvest.com to see if there is a farm near you that has grass fed butter? Try googling grass fed butter and your state. 🙂

You just posted about buying some KG butter not to long ago so why can't you get it now??You could always buy grass fed cream and make your own. I plan on making my own raw grass fed butter with whatever seasonings and herbs I want in it.

120g a day but not all butter. Even at 28g a day it'll last 8 days so that 75 cents a day.

Looked for grass fed at the store tonight.  Didn't have any whatsoever.  Kind of annoying.

In normal grocery stores around me, one brick of kerrygold is $5.. but at my local Trader Joe's it's only $3. And Costco it comes out to like $2.90.. Got a TJ's nearby?

I've got a Costco near me just need to take the family with the member card to get in. I actually have a TJ's down the road from a Central Market. I've never been there.

Tex get on whoevers membership and get your own card. I'm just on my dads business account and I don't think it cost much if anything for me to have my own card. For a guy always looking to save a buck you sure don't get out and look much. TJ and Costco are some of the best places to find good deals.
