Hello DH forum!I'm sorry I can't remember where or the finer details of the topic, but I remember (ok like 98% sure :P) reading on here that ingesting caffeine and creatine too close together can have a negative effect on the effects of creatine (perhaps someone remembers better than I do?). Anyway, I just figured I'd sharet this men's health creatine guide which suggests otherwise http://www.menshealth.com/spotlight/muscle/creatine-101-2.php Maybe everyone already knows, or maybe no one is that obsessive... regardless it seems to be a helpful, albeit a bit basic, guide on creatine info... anyway, enjoy and feel free to discuss. Maybe you'll remember something you've forgotten... ;).

Also, props to good ole Creatine Mono for still being in the game!http://www.menshealth.com/spotlight/muscle/newest-science-of-muscle7.phpWhat the hell is creatine triphosphate anyway? One phosphate better than creatine diphosphate?? haha

another DH member brought this up a long time ago… a few of us were waiting for some expert insight from the Guru to address this one.I personally can say i have felt a different in the creatine consumption sans caffeine, and vice versa.  I take them together sometimes and i can tell that the effects are short-lived, if that.  If i space them out like you mentioned i feel the recovery during my workout sets and also get the energy from the caffeine. There has got to be some love-hate relationship between the two, but cannot find any real science on the matter.

Well one is a diuretic and the other wants to suck in the water so they act oppositely right there.

Yes, but in different strengths, speeds and so on. Caffeine and creatine together is no problem.

+1 from what i remember the two together can dehydrate you pretty badly and we all know dehydration leads to poor gym performance so i think they key would be to just drink some more water when taking the two together?

Which you should be doing anyways when you take creatine or drink a lot of caffeine.  😉
