I took 100 mg of caffeine twice yesterday.  I did not sleep last night.  My hands and feet were tingly, I was up constantly peeing.  I was extremely restless.  Like I wanted to crawl out of my skin restless!I took 200 mg this morning...I have the tingly wanting to crawl out of my skin feeling again.I guess I'm sensitive to caffeine!  Don't want this feeling anymore, so won't be taking caffeine anymore.

You should get used to it, in time.  Everyone is different, so how much time is a variable unique to you.Caffiene is integral in these diets, so if you are too sensitive (right now), try lowering to 100mg, and keep coffee / caffiene consumption ~6-7 hours away from your bedtime.Cory

Your lucky...  I wish i was that sensitive.  I usually pop about 500Mg caffeine pre-workout just to shake the cobwebs out.

This seems to work.  I try to dry out from caffeine for a week every so often and it seems to bring the stimulant effects back for me.  Not sure if this holds true for the metabolic effects.

Hmmm, I'm thinking of switching from coffee to caffeine tabs in the morning, just because it's easier. Any thoughts on how much a 120 lb female should be taking?

Typically, you should use 0.45-1.4mg per lb. of lean bodyweight (for athletic performance).  For someone of your weight, try 50-170mg.  Adjust for your tolerance. It might be easiest to get a bulk powdered caffiene supp, not caps...http://supplementdirect.com/caffeine200grams.aspxCory

Wow, I got totally yucky feeling on 100 mg, and I weigh 170 lbs!  I'm wondering if I accidentally took a whole pill with a fish oil pill last night....I woud have done the caffeine pill way earlier in the day, but i wonder if by mistake i did.  It was really awful feeling.  Sleeping pills didn't even work.

Oh, caffeine at night is a nightmare for me too. I steer well clear of it any time past noon. It takes 8-9 hours to get out of my system. Realized I've actually been taking 200mg in the tablets I have!I have a very active job though. I'm running about all day so I can channel the extra energy into that. One time I took the caffeine before I had a 1h train ride and that was not fun!! So, yeah, if you have an office job, go easy on it.

Ha. I take 400mg caffeine with coffee after a workout at 7pm and still go to bed at 11pm.

Stay at home mom here.  I'll try to build up slowly.  Like 100 mg one day, 150 the next, see how that goes.  Or keep at 100 for a few days.  I don't drink regular sodas ever, and aside from a cup of coffee, no real caffeine.  I'm tired now though!  Hope to sleep tonight:).
