Cory McCarthyMemberHa. I take 400mg caffeine with coffee after a workout at 7pm and still go to bed at 11pm.
+1Caffeine does absolutely sh1t to my sleep cycle, but it works wonders on strength for me. I drink 16oz. black coffee pre-workout, around 7-7:30pm... and I am in bed by 12:30am-ish, nightly.Cory

Gavin WhiteParticipantI have about 4 cups of coffee a day, even going up until 10pm and still manage to sleep at 11! It's never really affected that much!! Have people found caffeine supplements to be useful? I was going to but thought 4 cups a day (with a tea spoon of coffee in each) would be enough.

FairyGuestI only use the tablets if I'm in a rush and don't have time to make coffee, like in the morning

This is going to sound $h1t, but instant coffee works wonders in a rush.I toss back 2 tsp. worth of instant, in 16oz. water, when I wake. I could spend more time making it, but I work at 9am, and I get up at 8:30am (my choice). Not eating breakfast has allowed me more sleep before work. 🙂These diets work wonders on convenience.Cory

FairyGuestYep, this diet certainly is very convenient!!I make my own instant coffee:1) Put ground coffee in French press overnight2) Fill half a mug with cold brewed coffee3) Add hot waterReally works! Coffee doesn't taste bitter either and you have instant coffee available for the whole day. Then rinse repeat (literally).

Marty P KochParticipantStarbucks VIA packets ROCK!! A bit pricey, but each packet gives you 8 oz. of coffee. Just nuke 2C (16oz.) water and dump it in a travel mug wth the powder and head to the gym… Folgers and some other brands have come out with similar products at a lower price point so I may give them a try when my VIA supply runs out. I'm trying this approach for convenience as a CNS a.m. (5:30) trainer because I am trying to eliminate my PWO Craze due to the evil Ace-K therein.

Cory McCarthyMemberI use Whole Foods market's 365 brand instant coffee. 1 tsp. = 1 cup. Dump in water, stir and drink.I can't be f--ked brewing coffee, ever. I am not a coffee connoisseur or anything, so really I am not looking for an experience... just the benefits. In fact, I don't even like coffee -- I drink it b/c the diet suggests me to.Cory

I found it beneficial to 'cycle off' stimulants periodically to avoid adrenal burn-out and keep dosages effective while staying within sensible amounts. Time it with a deload to avoid killing your numbers and progress and it shouldn't have any deleterious effects training-wise.When you put them back in, wow, it is like brand new and feels great!
