Punjabi_virusMemberI have a question regarding bacon. when you grill bacon the grease comes out of it. I dont know how to use it and i dont wanna store it either but do you still count the fat from bacon then? If 3 strips bacon are like 12gm fat as written on the pack and after cooking do you still count 12gm fat or less coz of grease out of bacon?
I reckon you probably lose about half the bacon fat when you grill it. But why wouldnt you save it? I pour mine into a coffee mug and it just sits there until I need to do some more cooking. Then I scoop out what I need. Its such a waste of calories otherwise. And you know you need calories! (:
Any other way to cook it without loosing its fat content?

Not that I know of. Maybe just sautee some veges up in the grease to pick the remainder back up. I usually use some capsicums/bell peppers to soak up the "escaping" fat.

Maybe i will just make an omelette in that fat.Hey glitch i was listening to this podcast n kiefer says backload window remains 2-4 hrs after workout. So last night i finished workout at 5, had my pwo shake n ate 1kg of baked sweet potatoes around 6.30 that gave me around 200gm carbs but then i was hungry again at 9. Should i throw in another ULC meal or little bit of more carbs ?

Tiago NicolauParticipantWell this log is on the wrong section and with a strange name ;DThis has been quite an launch adventure for me, have read from the first page and made my launch time pass fast ;DI came here just for one question, since i just need 130g protein daily and i usually get 80g of it on my ULC and the rest on my PWO, is it essencial for me to eat whole protein sources on my backload?Recently i have been skipping protein on backload so i could sip in all of the needed carbs but now i am re-reading the book and forgot about the anabolic signaling that kiefer talks about! If i WO at night, it isnt a problem since i go to sleep 3 hours after my PWO shake wich is the hypertrophy one,BUT if i WO at the perfect time, i dont really know if i should eat much more protein :/Punjabi, it would be wise for you to start thinking alone, assemble the book information and use and abuse of the search button of this forum, It will make you learn more, and not overtax the central nervous system of the veteran users ;D

I had this dought once, and even if i didnt find the awnser on the mighty search button, i assume that if you did like i didm, became hungry after the backload and didnt want to eat carbs after the TGLUT window, then a meal with whole protein and fat could suffice,Just be careful to eat something that really doesnt touch your insulin, so 2 eggs fried with 20g bacon could be nice 🙂
