Brandon D ChristParticipantWell I will say this. Clean vs junk (however you define clean and junk) does not matter. The number of carbs is much more important.
I guess is should stick to that 350gms thats what i was eating before and start eating more fats and protein during ulc say arnd P140/f90-100 and backload P90/f20-30/C350?
As I said before, only you can determine your carb needs.

Punjabi_virusMemberIm bulking atm so im playing with carbs all the time but not an exact figure. carb backloading is all about eat junk and get shredded , if one has to calculate the carbs then why do they say eat like a pig and get shredded?Last night i got home late from work and i was too tired to cook anything so i just had a double gluten free pizza. I know my calories would have gone 1000+ surplus

Having an exact measurement of calories for any goal is impossible. The body and the metabolism is not static. CBL makes the body more inefficient at storing fat, and slightly more efficient at gaining muscle. No one can give you exact macros, you have to find what works best for you, and even that wont be static, some times you'll need more fat, other times less, same with carbs, and even protein some what.CBL allows you to eat things daily that normal diets say you can't have more then every once in awhile, hence "eat like a pig"

This is riduculous, Kiefers advertises the ability to be able to eat junk and get shredded but its not mandatory! CBL isn't magic its just optimal.

+1Don't be one of those people who bitch about the way Kiefer markets the book. The ethos behind the "eat like a pig, get shredded" meme is that you can eat things that way out of protocol of the standard bodybuilding diet and still lose fat. Which is not a lie at all.

Yes and you need to figure out on your own which foods work for you, personally rice and potatoes work the best with some GF cereal once a week or so, where as Brandon can have fruity pebbles in most backloads and have great results. Everyone is different, there is no definite answer to your questions!

Stop worrying about these damn caloric surpluses. Just eat man. You have to experiment with the carbs. Personally I recommend eating a hefty amount of fat and protein when you are ULC and then eat a comfortable amount of carbs. No stuffing yourself sick and bloated, but you shouldn't be hungry.

I take your advice and add more pro n fats in my ulc part so its kinda be like 150p/100f ulc.The problem with me. is I work till 11:30 at night and by the time i get home im so hungry that i eat heaps of carby stuff like the other day i was so hungry at night before bed i had a big pizza, icecream and chcocolate. My metabolism is too fast, i digest everythging really quickly an get hungry again.

Then eat more. Make ULC shakes and drink them at work. I can't make this work for you, only you can make this work.
