Calories vs no Calories. You do the math.

Yep.I love the gum because it helps suppress my appetite if I have one and give me energy and focus.

Brandon D ChristParticipant@PunjabiStop looking at these calorie calculators and trying to figure out a calorie surplus. Just eat. Make sure you are never hungry. You're body is a much more accurate way to determine the appropriate quantity of food than a calorie calculator. If you do this you will gain muscle.

Agreed. And its been said before. In fact I find myself saying this quite a lot to various people lately. Calculators suck. All you have to do is eat more than you currently are if your weight is stable and you are looking to gain. Hardly Rocket Surgery.
Simply put. Are you gaining weight? If yes, you are eating enough. If not, you need to eat more.

No, you overdo it by eating like shit or by stuffing yourself until you get sick. Don't be one of those people who is scared to death of making a mistake. Those people never get anywhere. If you start to get fat, make an adjustment.

X2 Im bulking currently and started noticing a bit of "unnecessary" fat gain. I tweaked a few things and both lost that fat and still continue to slowly gain weight. I do not track calories.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorI agree with both of these guys. I sorta kinda half ass track things and I'm losing fat while backloading every night, and getting stronger and increasing my performance.Spending to much time thinking and analyzing will just make you stressed and stuck.

There is nothing wrong with tracking calories/macros. The problem is trying to hit specific numbers or ratios.

The problem is in thinking that you need to be exact with any of it to make it work. I have a rough idea of macros I want to shoot for, but I do not cry or worry about going a little over or a little under on them. Especially when bulking. When cutting to low levels of BF I could see the need to be a little more strict with them.
