    Take a day and spend time with your friends and family. There's no reason lifting should be a higher priority than the ones you love.

    +1There's no reason lifting should be a higher priority than anything you love... because it can't be bearable to do it in the long run like that.

    Here's an idea.... Turn it into a family affair  ;D. Nothing better then having my four year old tell me to put more weight on the bar while she picks up a broom stick, snatches it ass to grass (not too bad technique btw), and then slams it to the ground letting out a loud yell. Wife is a different story.... sometimes she likes to watch and encourages wearing only compression shorts. So like I said, make it a family affair and set a good example for your kids!

    Training only takes about three hours from the day at most for 99% of people anyways.  Unless you work a lot of hours, taking time away from the gym to spend time with family is just an excuse to not train.  There is no reason you can't do both unless you are a pro or you work a lot.
