lloyd2012KeymasterHiI am reading the book for the first time but have a few questions I'm hoping can be cleared up for me.The book talks about Post-Training Shake (Hypertrophic Potentiator Formula Shake) which includes 3 different kinds of proteins, leucine, creatine and simple carbs i.e dextrose or waxy maise. However when I look at the meal plans for backloading for training times at 4pm or 6pm they both say Hypertrophics Potentiator Shake Post -Training (no carbs).....does this mean I should be removing the carbs from the post workout shake, if so I just don't get it!!??Also the 4pm training meal plan mentions nothing about evening eating other than Post-post workout - SplurgeandTraining at 6pm there is also no mention of what to do after dinnercan anyone help me out a littlethanksLloyd

Some people might leave out the carbs if it that late in the day for them, that way they can introduce the carbs a bit later and keep the backload window a bit smaller. This is just my interpretation and I'm definitely not an expert on the subject. Also the 4pm training meal plan mentions nothing about evening eating other than Post-post workout - SplurgeandTraining at 6pm there is also no mention of what to do after dinnerIn either of these cases, I'm pretty sure the idea is to have a cleaner carb meal with a lean protein and a dessert (with that meal or you can wait a bit). After that you wait a couple of hours and have maybe another dessert (or 2 or 3!) depending on how you feel. If you need to include more protein to balance out the macros you can include another lean source of that. Again, I'm not an expert.can anyone help me out a littlethanksLloyd

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorFirst of all, ignore the meal plans and the charts in the book, they will confuse you.As far as skipping carbs in the PWO shake, some people will lose their appetite if they have carbs with the shake, but if they just have whey and leucine they are fine.

lloyd2012Guestthanks guys, I feel the book is a little lacking in a few areas, I don't need a dot by dot but as a starting point it could be a bit more detailed and consistent in some areas.I will post up my nutrition plan nearer the time for some critique, still another 7 days away from the backloadthankslloyd
