So i think that I have found a good balance and I have been losing weight and putting on muscle with what I have been doing.I do 5x5 routine, sunday, tuesday and thursday and I do some arms and some other smaller exercises monday and sometimes friday.I have my carbnite friday or saturday. Sunday i do my workout, I will have a half a bannana or one piece of white bread to spike insulin + leucine/protein/creatineMonday - ULCTuesday  - I see how I feel, if i need them I will have a small ice cream to add some carbs to muscles to that nights workoutWednsday ULCThursday I have a larger ice cream and maybe a burger like 8 hours prior to workout, its the night i increase my bench, squad and rows by 2.5%. The morning after my 5x5 I always wake up pretty much no carb retention weight. I am losing less than 1 lb a week, but increasing muscle and using creatine does add some weight. Still slowly losing weight.I weight 230, i'm still fat but not that fat. Like my stomach doesnt have ab lines yet, but there isnt a lot of excess fat. This seems to work a lot better for me than no carbs for my lifting days.

I feel that since I only do heavy exercises 3 times a week, at this point I shouldnt eat carbs post workout as they would stay in my muscles and hinder weight loss the other days of the week.

Hoping to get some Big Tex input on this. I guess i could go for carb backloading, but with only 3 day a week training I feel it would be a waste to have carbs present in muscles this long for nothing… right?

You're training, eat carbs afterwards. Why second guess the hard work you're doing and making progress with?
