Gl;itch.eMemberI don't think post CN weight is a good indicator just because of the bloat/digestion thing. My weight fluctuates anywhere between 10-20 pounds in a given week, but a lot of that has to do with how much time it takes to process all the junk I eat. That's the classic definition of a crapshoot haha.
Bullshit! I think youve put zeros where they shouldnt be. I cant imagine a fluctuation of more than 5-10lbs for someone your size unless you are varying days of marathon running while fasted followed by days of full on obese tag team eating.

thestiffmeisterParticipantWhen I say 10-20 pounds, I mean right after stuffing my face up until 7 days later. For example, three weeks ago I was around 79 kg after my CN, down to around 71 on the morning of my next CN. Do the math 😉 When I was smaller and calculating in terms of pounds it was like 142 before weekend binge up to around 156 on Mondays. It's not all that uncommon, which is why I am surprised some people are like oh I gained 3 pounds on my CN. You kind of have to take into account a guy my size who does eating contests takes a couple days just to clear his system of the sheer amount of food, so that's why I said post-CN weight is not really a good indicator for people who eat crazy amounts.

Are you perhaps being too extreme with your ULC days vs your carbnites? That still sounds like a lot even for a low carb diet. I had assumed that you were talking about CBL not CNS given the thread/forum section it was in as well.

thestiffmeisterParticipantOh no no. I was talking about CN cause another member talked about using the pre and post CN weight to measure the total amount of carbs they should be shooting for during the week on CBL. When I am on CBL it doesn't jump around nearly as much cause I don't have a retarded binge once a week. If I had to do the prep phase again I'd just do a normal SA week, THEN see how much I lose over 10 days. Right now it would just be stupid to assume hey I can lose like 16 pounds during the week, therefore I should have ridiculously huge backloads like a 225 pound dude.I was just playing devil's advocate, my bad. I don't think I am being too extreme on my CN for the amount of training I do, and I am not hungry/weak during most of the week, either. Just saying if you are coming from something like CN or been following a keto diet for a long time, you're gonna have to play around with the backloads a bit and give it time to see how many carbs you can truly handle.

thestiffmeisterParticipantAlso, posting cause I am about to embark on the CBL bandwagon again, so it's interesting to find out how people figured out their numbers as well.

Is easy. Start at +- 1g/lb carbs and ramp up from there! 😀
