CmoMemberAround 4, protein shake with 25 g of Karbolyn. Or banana? Or both? how much protein scoops? Then dinner of not sure yet....I'm thinking chicken breast breaded in almond meal fried in coco oil? With rice? Or a sweet potato with marshmallows? For carb treats: I'm craving pancakes with butter and maple syrup. I think I want some tonight.A serving of Ben and Jerry's. Another serving of Ben and Jerry's?A homemade caramel and chocolate apple????Cereal? I usually hit around 200g. Tomorrow is supposed to be a max effort deadlift day. Should I eat more carbs? I don't really feel the heat on carb nite. Maybe 200 is not enough? I'm not sure what dextrose is. I have Karbolyn and I have waxy maize.

I am just going to copy and paste what I said in another thread, today (b/c it is valid here):You really shouldn't be counting your CN. You should go all out. Eat anything and everything you crave, all the shit. Start with fast-carby food + protein (lower fat), then move on to ANYTHING.Eat until your are full, then rest a little, and repeat. You should do this for 6-8 hours. Here is an example of a typical carb nite for me (I don't expect anyone else to be able to gorge like me, do what works for you):4pm - 1 scoop whey isolate, 1-3 boxes of Turkish Delight Jellies or a Whole Angelfood Cake... sometimes both.6pm~7pm - 1 1/2 scoops whey isolate, half a large "birthday" cake (layered cake, frosted), a dozen medium chocolate chip cookies dipped in caramel sauce. Sometimes donus or whoopie pies will be had here in place of cake.9pm~10pm - take out feast (Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian or diner fare) + more cake (as much as I can stuff) + any other shit laying around that I feel like.12am-ish - 1 1/2 scoops whey isolate + any shit left over or laying around. By this point I want to puke, and die.1-2am-ish - pre-bed supps, and then bed....I feel the 'burn' starting from the first meal, all night, into my sleep, and wake nice and clammy. Sexy, I know... but my setup works. 😉Cory

CmoMemberOk, I will go all out today. I know I've git it in me!! You weren't sure about the apple? How about I make one big one and share with my 3 kids? It's really the caramel and chocolate I'm after, maybe a little apple.A whole angel food cake. Yikes! I'll have to see about a protein shake and some really yummy carb source to start out. Times a ticking!

Well, I basically ate everything that couldn't run away... We'll see if starting off with dextrose or gummy bears will help 😀 (btw. why are they so special? Aren't they mostly sugar?)

CmoMemberFyi: the apple. I plan on coating in caramel and chocolate. While caramel has like 48 g carbs, per 3 tbsp, it also has 5 g fat. Chocolate had a bit of fat too. So i will hold off till later. Trying to make this round of carb nite diet (ULC days as well) totally optimal. Including carb nite. I think maybe my past carb nites may have been mostly wrong carbs, such as chocolate. Or way too minimal. So, in 18 minutes...it will be 1 1/2 scoops iso whey plus one banana that kids won't eat cause of the spotting. I may or may not add Karbolyn. It's 25 g of carb for 1/2 serving, but I guess if I'm not eating to any particular count, then I don't need to worry about wasting carbs on it,Gummy bears must have a lot if dextrose. I'm currently out of bears. We stopped at Albanese gummy bear factory in IN, they claim to have best bears. They were. Cheap too. And you can order online. They sell by the pound. Lots o gummies there.

Sarah_WalkerParticipantCmo- I was getting around 200 (I think, never tracked) g's of carbs on my carb nites until the past two I decided to loosely track my macros, and aim for 300g's .Both of the those 300+ carb nites I got hot flashes while I slept and one night even as I ate, I'm pretty sure I wasn't eating enough in the past! good luck, enjoy and let us know how it goes for you!

Chocolate is fine in your later meals. The first meal should be high carb, no fat. Hence the propensity for gummy bears/dextrose. I prefer bagels and skittles myself.

tbrown1025MemberAhhhh, I quoa=ted the wrong person. I'm looking at YOU, Cmo…saying chocolate is a bad carb. 😛

CmoMemberOh I don't think it's bad either, I think I needed more than a few Ghirardelli chocoloate squares as my carbs ::)So, I ate a bunch of stuff. I don't think I had hot flashes while I slept, felt my heart race a few times, I may have had some hot flashes while eating. That Karbolyn stuff has an effect on me.I started with the iso whey/karbolyn (25 g)/bananaabout an hour later: some of the caramael apple, dinner was a big pancake with maple syrup and small amount of butter, cinnamon bun (gluten free), shared elephant ear at town fair, ice cream, ice cream, bowl of cinnamon toast crunch....a few tbspoonfuls of nerds throughtout evening. I don't know what gram that ended up being in carbs. Probably closer to 300. Scale up 2.5 pounds this morning. I am nowhere near a low enough bodyfat to see big differences. My eyelids are swollen! But that could be because my brows were waxed yesterday (I am very sensitive to this procedure)...but that does explain why my lids are swelled up.
