Sherylea HurstParticipantI just watched the tubecast where Keifer is talking about how long a carb nite should last….and while he does mention it should last 6-8 hours I am a bit confused as to the meal structure. I have posted a couple of questions on the forum and the response has been almost 100% agreement that a carb nite is NON RESTRICTED….except possibly to start the evening off with low fat carbs and then transition to high fat carbs HOWEVER after watching the tube cast Keifer says that if one was to start a carb nite @ 3 then one would have a small low fat carb item…and dinner and perhaps a dessert…THATS IT!! I just dont want to make the mistake of over eating on a carb nite….if it is limited to just a snack, dinner and a dessert then I think most people on the forum are overdoing it on their carb nite? Does anyone have any thoughts to clear up this confusion….I appreciate it 🙂

MikehrMemberyes but he doesnt not specify the size of those meals, my snack is my PWO shake and box of cereal, dinner is about 3 cups of rice, with a side dish of more cereal and some GF cookies and desert is more GF cookies, frozen yogurt and maybe a GF donut. Still three meals, just large ones 8)HAha in all seriousness no body can tell you how much to eat, some people eat more during the week so they don't need as much in the CN some people eat barely anything during the week and make up for it on the CN. HE went over this in one of the recent Biojacked

Richard SchmittModerator^^^ExactlyPretty much not isolated to those types of meals. Also not isolated to the sizes. Those meals can be pretty big laid out during the 6 hour re feed. Hormonal responses and setting up metabolism for the next week. It's all how you want to structure it and how the ULC meals are during the week.

Sherylea HurstParticipantSo it would be safe to say then at 5'3 and 112 lbs if I am taking in 1300 calories all week during ULC then I could conceivably have a bigger carb nite? I do HIIT four times a week and I am in the gym 5-6 days per week 🙂

MikehrMemberWe can't give you a yes or no answer haha if your losing weight every week your doing it right if not then your CNs are too big.

As long as you're getting your macros, calories shouldn't matter too much. 1g of protein to .5g of fats for BW.

samuel r walkerParticipantFor me at least, going a week ulc requires me fill every carb craving hole in my body… metaphorically speaking of course..If youre looking for faster results then limit your fat intake on CN and finish it with some icecream or something else nice and fatty. Just be sure to drink more fluids since the absence of fat with the carbs will dehydrate you much more rapidly, as per Kiefer's tube-cast.

Last statement for sure a +1. I did that on my last CN...probably didn't go over 100g worth of fat the entire day (ULC meals and all) and the next day had "Carb Hangover" and dehydrated!

Brandon D ChristParticipantI have two meals and a snack on Carb Nite, yet I am able to consume close to 1,000 g of carbs when I do this. on Carb Nite you will be able to consume a lot in one sitting. If you aren't restricting your carbs at these meals (you shouldn't be) and eating until you are full, you most likely won't have any desire to eat more than three times.
