Hello – i been on the carb nite program for 13 days now and I am exploring other programs in parallel. Question i have is simple, which diet is program is better?  Clearly in both programs there has to be synergies.  I hate to pay 77 bucks for another book when i just bought the carb nite book.Any information is greatly appreciated.Thanks.

What are your current goals? Body weight? training style?

My current goals is really fat loss, i am lean but i still have some fat especially in the stomach area.  Training is mostly weights, with full body twice a week.  I do sprints as well but following the carb nite rulesSo to answer your question, i am looking for abs.  I put way to much time in the gym not to have them which is why I started the carb nite program.  The program has taught me a lot as i had to correct my diet from items that I thought were healthy and really weren't.Pic attached

I would stick with CN for a few more weeks and at that point switch to 5 days between CN's and switch to SA CBL. From your picture you do seem to have a decent frame to work with and a lot of people tend to forget that in order to get lean you do need a good amount of muscle. CBL is a good book to have and its also a good book to have a few weeks prior to starting because to figure out how to make it work for you. I will say that both programs do take a bit of trial and error and what works for one person might not work for another. My only other real suggestion is to keep your CN's cleaner(rice, potatoes, etc) and fattier carbs(sweets, pizza) at the end of the evening.

I think most people are happier on Carb Nite.  CBL I think works better for people who care about muscle and strength more than how lean they are.

Fat loss is the primary objective of Carb Nite, so I'd say stick with that for a period of time, also don't worry much about trying to make changes until you have it under your belt, stick it out at least 2 maybe 3 months so you have several regular carb nites and you can see how your body handles it.  I'd also go with changing your foods on your carb nite before attempting to shorten the days in between them.

what type of ab work do you do? you look lean enough that they would show a bit if you built them up

I am doing lots of different exercise for upper,  lower, top and side abs, about 4 times a week.On each day, its about 12 sets of 20 reps in each.    I try to different ab exercise each time but still cover all parts.

for ab training purposes this may help http://www.t-nation.com/testosterone-magazine-627from looking at your picture you may be better off doing cbl to add some muscle onto you will help your abs pop out more if that is your goal

Thanks for the advise .  I am going to read the t-nation article later this evening and totally considering the CBL diet after a few cycles of this Carb Diet.
