lexxMemberCould do with some advice on this for getting to low BF (< 10%)1. Should CarbNites be cleaner or dirtier as BF gets lower?2. Should the amount of carbs increase or decrease as BF gets lower?I realise it is often mentioned they should increase in frequency, but for now I want to stick to 1 a week because I feel so much better without carbs. How can I get that heart pounding, sweating, sick feeling - but staying gluten free? My experience is I only get it with doughnuts 🙁

webbyMemberIt's all based on your individual body. I've been eating everything I want and I'm floating around 8-9% now. My next carb night I'm going clean only to see if it makes a difference, plenty sticky rice and potatoes! You could try gluten free rice cereal laced with dextrose. Chocolate brown B+J's frozen yoghurt is AWESOME and it's gluten free!I do carb nite every 5 days. The reason for the increased frequency is because your body is a lot less willing to give up fat when you're leaner. You also have less leptin the less fat you have so you have to have carbs more often to spike that leptin which in turn will allow you to burn fat.Experiment and see what works for you 8)

lexxMemberWell, I just ordered quite a few boxes of this cereal: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004990VLG/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00..but now I wonder how well it will spike my insulin since it is made from whole grain rice. I guess I would be better off just cooking white rice...but I love cereal.

webbyMemberLots of dextrose on the top of it will sort the insulin spike out. I love my cereal too!

lexxMemberCould I just add honey instead?

webbyMemberIt's quite high in fructose. I think dextrose would be a better option. Or melt down some marshmallows and make crispy cakes ;D

lexxMemberGreat advice. I have been avoiding fructose, but must admit, I don't know why? Why is fructose bad in the context of CNS?

lexxMemberok, answer my own question from http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/nutrition/a/fructosedangers.htm"To greatly simplify the situation: When too much fructose enters the liver, the liver can't process it all fast enough for the body to use as sugar. Instead, it starts making fats from the fructose and sending them off into the bloodstream as triglycerides."

Yeah, you basically got. Pure Fructose will fill up your liver's glycogen stores pretty fast, which is the only glycogen it can replenish. So you risk some fat gain/spill over if you consume too much.
