I am a big fan of CBL and Carbshock makes a lot of sense scientifically (I am an exercise physiologist by training) except for one thing, LICORICE ROOT. NEJM published that licorice root lowers serum testosterone levels by 50% with as little as 500mg. CS only has 400mg in it so I would expect close to a 50% drop. Does anyone have any data to support it’s usage in CS, being someone with genetically low Test levels I am would be a little concerned taking it.

Hey Ocker, honestly I would highly recommend you post this on the Body IO Facebook page. That way the coaches will see this and answer your question accurately.

    From Kiefer:

We use a particular type of licorice that’s difficult to source and is standardized for high purity amorfrutins. These are specific PPAR-gamma receptor modulators that increase insulin sensitivity in the body. We do not use typical licorice powders that are purified for Glycyrrhetinic and Glycyrrhyzic acid.
