Hello,I'm on CBL and am going to be starting a 4 day shockwave split. My question is about cardio. My schedule is not conducive to morning cardio, so I'm wondering what I should do. I know HIIT is best, but not after strength training. Any suggestions?

What are you goals? What are you stats? I would limit the HIIT to your off days if your going to do it all. Its not necessary. So do it away from your large body parts likes legs. Maybe after a shoulder or chest day.

My goals are along the Strength Accumulation lines. I'm 5'7″ 169lbs. I haven't been tracking my body fat because I haven't found a quality caliper or body fat % calculator for a reasonable price (Suggestions?), I go more along how I lookSo as far as HIIT, could I do it after my other 3 workouts during the week, excluding after my Legs workout? Or should I start without it? Would medium-low intensity, steady state cardio have any role?

No keep HIIT to only off days. If you do it PWO then you won't recover properly. Especially using the magic of CBL. You only need HIIT maybe 2-3x. I would stick to only 2x though. And that's pushing it.

Okay, I'm going to start doing some morning cardio and see how it works. As far as the kind of HIIT I believe Kiefer recommends 30 minutes of 2:4 for strength accumulation. Is this okay?0-2 min. - Walking warmup - 3.5mphSprinting cycles - 8.6mphWalking cycles - 3.8mphAs far as pre-cardio nutrition, is 2 cups of black coffee good? Should I add coconut oil, 10g WPI?Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.

Just coffee is fine. I honestly would say that cardio should be your last resort unless your really really trying to loose a significant amount of body-weight. If your trying to get stronger, I would ditch it. 1:4 or 1:2 ratio is good. 1:4 is recommended

    One minute by 4 minutes?

If your going by the book it would be like 30 second on 4 min off. Maximal hormonal response is even longer rest like 6 min.

Lmao yeah...sometimes it benefits other questions and stuff by personal experiences. Dropped cardio? I'd have to stand still f that's the case, but dropping HIIT...no not really or yet. I figure it's hurting my strength gains while on CNS. I am really thinking about taking on CBL SA and SW starting Monday...

Lets tag team a rant...I'll write one and then you mod it up with additional thoughts. It will be like a question an answer type thing.

Treadmill's are not a good choice for hiit.  It is very unlikely that you will hit your peak intensity while sprinting on a treadmill.  I know for myself the treadmill doesn't even come close to hitting my peak sprint even at its fastest setting.  Do your hiit on a spinning cycle or outside doing sprints.
