I have been trying to stay away from HFCS, and I don't know if it's ideal or not but I've been backloading off of Wonka Brand candy for my sweet tooth fix.  From what I've seen on food labels, alot of the Willy Wonka brand candy uses dextrose as the main ingredient.  PIxy Stix, Sprees, Smarties, Nerds, etc.  I've noticed most of the labels read: dextrose, citric acid, and then all the other fancy stuff like blue 40, red 20, black 93, etc.

Question, Iboland where are you finding that nutrition facts at for foods? Is it still nutritiondata.self? I ask because I get lactose-free ice cream at the moment, pretty much the only “sugar” I get, besides making my own stuff

I still use that website, but the 4 g of lactose in ice cream I found by googling.  Here is a table that shows ice cream with 3 g of lactose.  http://www.gastro.net.au/diets/lactose.html

If your really trying to avoid fructose, you can get carbs from whole food sources such as potatoes. Any starchy carb with a high glycemic index is good. Potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, white rice, and corn to some degree.I love pasta, but kiefer says wheat pasta is a no good for CBL. But if you go to Trader Joes you can get Corn Pasta for a little over a dollar a pack and it tastes very similiar to regular pasta. I make that with some fresh pasta sauce made from cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and basil then put a half pound of ground buffalo or grass feed beef in it. Also "Annies" gluten free macaroni and cheese is organic very unprocessed and made with white rice noodles which is great for CBLing. I also cook that and add some ground beef/buffalo and its delicous. Hope those ideas help.

No, but pumpkin isn't really ideal because of the large amount of fiber.  It shouldn't be too bad though.

this is somewhat related...I know we are supposed to keep fiber to a minimum during backloads but on training days that only entails one at best two meals with vegetables in it. Doesn't that seem like not enough vegetables in the diet for optimal health?

Sorry but Pumpkin Pie is going to be Gluten Free and one of my favorites on Thanksgiving and Christmas, I will enjoy myself with these, even though fiber is attached with these. Might as well say can't have Sweet Potato Pie too.. =/ Ah well. I'm curious on the Max Amount of Fiber allowed in a backload too. So far with the sweet potatoes I've gotten up to 20g?

If you are eating plenty of grass-fed animal products, some coconut oil, and a handful of veggies during a ULC meal you will be fine.Vegetable really aren't as healthy as most people believe. I mean, they aren't unhealthy, but they aren't near what some people say they are.

I'd ignore the fiber in sweet potatos because sweet potatos are very high glycemic if you are cooking them the right way.  Just don't consume fibrous vegetables.Pumpkin is kind of high glycemic, but not like sweet potatos, so it wouldn't be a great carb source.

Ibob would adding cinnamon to sweet potatoes be a bad idea? I've seen so much controversy over cinnamon and insulin.
