Ive been asking myself a million times im going full on CNS or if im going to try CBL. I am trying to get stronger always and yes of course i want more size. It seems CBL is very fragile though so im wondering for actual fat loss how would one go about CBL. What would they need to do differently for fat loss. I know the CBL SA is for that and im wondering every exact difference between that and the CBL DB. How many carbs would i need to take in typically at a weight of 275 ish and what kind of carbs? Also i know i would only CBL on training days but im wondering what about a light day with just some accessories training?

It's hard to know what to do if you haven't tried anything yet. I suggest you do the prep phase and start back loading on your training days. Run it for a bit then adjust if needed.

Yeah, if ive been on the anabolic diet and now CNS for a little bit would i still need to do the 10 day prep phase? Also what are the best carbs for back loading and fat loss.

The book should have the info you need concerning that.  There's charts based on the prep phase results on how many carbs you should eat.The higher your bf% in relation to your muscle mass the more careful you need to be with the junk food.White rice is the cleanest staple for CBL but later on some junkier foods really are beneficial.  It's kinda difficult to refill glycogen on just rice and potatoes, depending on your needs. If you've had your carb nite then yes you do need to do the prep phase the full ten days. If not, then the days you have been without carbs count towards the days on prep phase.

yeah i have the books, i just get a little lost in them sometimes. Fat loss is important to me, but not over gaining muscle and strength so its a tuffy. I think i would prob sleep better on CBL cause when i eat a big meal of fats my body burns up and sometimes too much energy.

I say experiment 🙂 Don't expect to get things right in the first week. Pay attention to how you feel. I record it on a spreadsheet.

Fairy is right, be patient, track and go by how you feel! Everyone is different!

Yeah i hear ya, just wondering which to experiment with. I love fat for energy, and am thinking a little carb action would be good at night. However i have always seemed a bit sensitive to carbs, i def dont want to bulk.

Ive noticed what has been working with me is I keep my carb count in my backload relativly low, especially compared to the chart, and dont binge on the “good stuff” (aka junk food). So far I am back down in weight, but it took me about 5 weeks to find my sweet spot. Im still making gains under the barbell, and Im leaning out okay for now. Will I have to adjust it again ? Who knows, but just like anything else, you need to adapt .

haha yeah i went from the anabolic diet to CNS recently. I just keep thinking man size and strength I LOVE. At the same time though i wouldnt mind seeing myself leaner for once haha. Power-lifting is tricky to make a decision of diet. What are you calling clean carbs? White rice and fruits? Cereal?

Trust me man,  i've been saying exactly that for years.  Get lean once and don't do it again... unless you are entering the olympics or something in the next 4 months and need to prepare.    In my opinion getting your feet wet and even F**king up is progress in my book... it's better than not doing anything at all.  I think CBL SA might be your ticket... Like mag said stay on the lower end of your carb allotment and up the fat protein during the ULC will help maintain the muscle.  Glad to see you started though... give it a few weeks and you'll adjust accordingly.

So you say go with CBL SA eh? Have you done both CBL and CNS? what were your experiences on both? And what does ULC mean? So for CBL SA your diet is just like CNS during the day? Same kind of fats and everything? Except you skip breakfast? Do you take any protein in on CBL at night? And if im at 275 or so, what would you start my carbs at to not be too much? And what about says im doing some light work?

Tell me about it, Anabolic Diet worked great for me , just mid week untill my re-feed I'd feel like I was going through chemo therapy. I was loosing fat, but getting my arse handed to me in the gym, and my strength was wasnt bad, but not great.Yeah any weight class sport , any type of programming is tricky. Get to big, get knocked out of your weight class and go on the bottom of the next. Stop eating, and get weak, and get crushed in a lighter weight class. Its tricky, beleave me I know lolAs far as carbs, I stick to white rice (basmati rice is awesome, and so is jasmine), sweet potato's, and white potato's. Sometimes home made pancakes with white flour, or some sort of white flour bread. "Good stuff" is sugary cereal, cookies, ice cream , etc ... I really limit this, where as when I started, I would power bomb it and wonder why the scale wasnt moving, or just moving in the wrong direction. 3 cookies okay...a whole sleeve of oreo's w/ice cream...*shrugs shoulders*.Then again thats just me. Im sure there are dudes out there backloading with taco bell & krispy kreme every night and down to 8% bf. Trial and eror my friend
