CBL fat loss

    So you say go with CBL SA eh? Have you done both CBL and CNS? what were your experiences on both? And what does ULC mean? So for CBL SA your diet is just like CNS during the day? Same kind of fats and everything? Except you skip breakfast? Do you take any protein in on CBL at night? And if im at 275 or so, what would you start my carbs at to not be too much? And what about says im doing some light work?

    ULC = UltraLowCarb (portion of the day)Yes CBL SA, skip breakfast meal (or have a tbsp MCT oil/Coconut oil in your coffee)  get your protein and fat in throughout the day and backload at night Only on training days.  non-training days is ULC all day long... that will get you started.  Depending on how much you eat during the day and when you train, the book is your best bet on carbohydrate threshold at night.  you can adjust your carbs according to how you feel the next morning... if you aren't leaning up or you are leaning up but losing significant amounts of strength.  those are things you can tweak to your liking... just depends on how you feel.And yes do the prep phase

    I dont know BigR. I went straight from the AD to CBL and didnt encounter any problems. I think it depends on how well your body runs off fat. I seem to do really well off ULC high fat meals. Too much protein can spin me the other way though similar to being on a carb based diet.

    None. Especially if his primary goal is fat loss. Just saying for me it wasnt necessary. Heck, I didnt even know such a phase existed at the time!

    yeah i just cant imagine my body isnt in a full switch to burn fat already. Im still wondering if im eating too much, im eating a TON of fat. Animal fat though, i doubt im getting a 1:1 ratio but im not sure how i feel about that anyways.

    Animal fats are the best fats (that's my take).  do you think your 1:1 ratio is higher in fat or protein?  how much/what are you eating?  you should make a log in the MEMBER LOG area so you can look back on previous entries.

    My fat is higher for sure. Tons of beef, pork and eggs. Lots of greens too. Really 73/27 ground beef, chorizo, whole fat cheese, bacon, sausage, full butter, heavy whipping cream here and there. Fish oils. Dont really measure things out right now, just eating quite a bit.

    Am i on the right track? Because i see alot of people eating lean meats too, which i dont understand at all. CBL also seems to be nothing nailed down, how are there so many opinions and options for 1 program?

    also i know keifer mentions mct oil and coconut oil which is mct, but i thought you should avoid mct's on a diet like this because your body will burn those for energy as opposed to stored fat?

    You CAN eat lean meats and are probably better off doing so unless you can get pastured grass fed beef etc. I eat a fair amount of chicken, but more so pre-workout and earlier in backloads. Other meals I try to eat reasonably fatty cuts of meat. If I cant for any reason I try to up fat via other means (fishoil, coconut oil, mcts etc) Hope that helps. Succinctly. Prioritize fatty cuts of meat (preferably grass fed beef, bacon) but you can make leaner cuts work if you are willing to add some additional sources of fats

    +1 Also Mct Coconut Oil In The Morning Can Spike Tryglicerides, Which Has Been Show To Maintain The poduction Of ketones.
