IronFreakShowGuestit really depends on your current body fat, I'm not near as fit as my fiance' who does it, her abs popped hard today. I have more around the mid section, but I woke up feeling nice and tight, not soft and flabby. How long have you been doing this?
i lost 10 pounds on carb nite solution and i was around 13-14% bf at 180 lbs (6')i started backloading around 2 weeks ago.does it take time to acclimate the body to backloading? how long?
I am doing CNS right now to lose more weight for my wedding, but I was doing CBL with good results. Its a simple concept but you need to be strict within the guidelines. Keep your macro's in check, and don't be skidish when you backload, go to the extreme, get angry with those carbs! It's better to go all out and find your limit and back off then to start small and build up, you'll just be stalling yourself and hurting your performance in the gym.
true, but i also dont want to get fat in the process. its summer time and id like to stay lean. if it were the winter then id have no problem with the weight gain no one see's me without a shirt on in the winter.
Then follow my path, I stopped CBL for the same reason, I wasn't getting fat, but I wanted to look tighter for the summer. I'm on a somewhat modified CNS plan. I go 5 days between carbnites, and as you can see go crazy. I have been doing carbnite for 2 weeks and have lost 14lbs. And.....more important haven't lost power in the gym, to an extent. Usually by the end of the 4th day I'm weaker, but all my glycogen store are empty too so thats expected.

I don't know what you’re taking in, but if you do CNS right your performance really shouldn’t suffer. You need to really decide what your goals are. CNS as a program is easier to follow, CBL takes A LOT of tweaking to fit your right. If you are worried about getting fat do a modified CNS program, only go 5 days between carbnites if you hitting the gym hard. CNS was not designed for lean gains so don't expect it, but it can happen. Make sure you are getting a good ratio of 1:1 of fat and protein, ESPECIALLY fat, you've trained your body to function off fat in your prep phase, if you’re not giving it what it needs you’re going to feel weak and tired. Something to think about. I'm going to switch to CBL when I get back from my honeymoon, I'll have ALL winter to tweak it to my specs. For now, I just wanna look good, so that means CNS for me.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorIt's a bit hard to tell with just the food choices listed, but it seems like you might have been eating to little fat, which will cause problems on CBL as well. Did you ever track your macro's to see where your fat intake was?

Drop the olive oil and avocado, Treverxgage can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Kiefer said that those lead to inflammation. Also you want to stick with animal fats over plant sources. Your eating a lot of veggies. If I have any I might have some spinach but that’s it. I take some psyllium husk for fiber. I don't see bacon on your list.........EAT IT!! I drop 10lbs. a week. Cook EVERYTHING in bacon fat!! You need to really track your macros, don't guess. Take the time to know EXACTLY what your putting in your body. FAT FAT FAT, get it in!

Agreed here. That really doesn't look like. 1:1 protein fat ratio. I don't necessarily keep track of calories or macros consistently but I do throw the foods I eat into livestrong.com or fitday.com once a month just to make sure. Eating too little fat over the course of a couple months could really be robbing you of progress so I wouldn't want to leave anything to question. CBL takes awhile to tweak and find that sweet spot but once you do it's smooth sailing.---I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=46.889841,-102.778264

i dont eat bacon because i cant!i eat fatty cuts of steak- i dont think i eat that many veggies. i work all day and take my lunch with me.i dont have a microwave or anything to heat my food so i take salads (with cheese or with meat/chicken)because thats pretty much all i can eat.believe me id rather cook a steak than eat a salad but you have to do what you have to do.i started eating flax seed wraps for lunch and i think those werent that good for me during the day so i took those out.

I got you buddy~!well, how do you cook your chicken? do you use fat when cooking it? Get some butter and fry it up in that.
July 19, 2012 at 5:16 pm #64167
DShamahGuesthaha its much more difficult than you think the laws of kosher.i wish it was that easy- it would be tastier too if i could put butter on my meats.i cant mix butter and any type of meat other than fish.i usually just eat nuts or some other type of fat like that to get my fat or a fatty steak. ill wont cut off the fat from the meat and just eat the entire thing no matter how much fat is on it.i also eat fatty burgers too.

IronFreakShowGuestWow…..That’s really interesting, and you’re right I don't understand them hahaha. You will have to take a very different approach to a lot of this then I do.

nickl413MemberThe only gallon jugs of gatorade I've seen have sucrose as the first ingredient and dextrose as the second.
Yes you are correct, the ingredients say: water, sucrose, dextrose.........My point is that its sweetened with those properties instead of the smaller bottles that contain high fructose corn syrup.
Sucrose is, for all intents and purposes, the same as high fuctose corn syrup.
