So I started out before my 10 day no carb diet at around 193 LBS and around 9% BF. I dropped to 182lbs and a bit leaner looking. Been doing the CBL for 2 weeks now. I am getting smaller. Lost a 1/4 inch off my arms and some days I am tight and some days I am soft.  I eat meat and fat during the day but no carbs. I average 180 grams of protein a day and after my workouts I do 60 grams of carbs and 40 grams protein. I take EAA pre workout and BCAA after.  Then I'll have dinner , for example last night had tri-tip and potato salad , lots of potato salad. then an hr later i had some peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. then before bed I had a big bowl of Rice Checks cereal. Probably totaling 250 grams of carbs for the night. I  woke up soft today. As far as my lifts go I think I feel weaker. I used to be able to get 100lbs dumbbells up without a spot on incline bench but yesterday i needed a spot for 80lbs. Something is not right, need help!

First before trying anything else are you definately getting enough fat? if you are averaging 180g of protein hopefully you are getting as much in fat too. Secondly, Increase your Carbs. Waking up soft can sometimes be from lack of carbs IME. The fact you feel like you've lost some size and strength certainly sounds like you aren't overdoing your carbs. a 11lb drop in weight sounds like you really need your carbs. Are you backloading every night or just training nights? Small detail but I would remove that EAA pre workout. Either put it during/pwo or ditch it completely. EAAs pre-workout are going to have an impact on insulin which isnt advised.

GI , thanks for the quick response! I appreciate it. Let see, I started the day off with coffee with heavy cream at 7am then 10 am I had  6 eggs 4 whole and 2 whites plus 5 slices of bacon , lunch was a about a 1lb (raw ) ground beef with a slice of cheese and some Mayo and a small salad. Snack was a chicken breast and drumstick with skin on , and then an hr later scoop of beef protein (allergic to all wheys) with some peanut butter. Worked out and then ate the the meals I listed earlier. So you think I should have more carbs, huh? should I am for 2 per lb of mass? What carbs are you eating typically ? Should I space them or just shovel all night?

Oh and the first week I did just workout days but this week I did days off to. I was hitting it 6 days a week but dropped to 5 , thinking I might be over training.

Double what you are currently getting and then just watch how you look when you wake up. Scale back a little bit (like 50grams or so at a time) if you find you are getting that washed out bloated look in the mornings. Eventually you'll find the point where strength gains are coming but youre waking up tight and not flat or soft. Im not actually sure what I weigh anymore (haven't weighed myself since I started CBL) I started at around 200lbs, wouldnt be surprised if I'm only about 180 atm. I currently eat about 400-500g of carbs on training nights. Had to dial back from 600+ where I was starting to get a bit washed out and losing definition.

You are under eating I think, this why you aren't as strong in the gym.  Don't confuse looking bloated with looking flat.  I agree with Glitche, you probably need around 400 g of carbs.  Try that and see how that works. Also ditch the pre-workout Amino Acids.  They could potentially be problematic.

Awesome, I will. I am amazed how much eating you have to do to get 400 grams. Can I ask what your carb load is like? What types of foods do you consume ?

For me its relatively easy. PWO shake with Dextrose (50g carb) 1 cup of uncooked rice (200g carb) 1/4 tub of ice cream (150g carb) = 400g carb. Throw some Skittles in there (40-50g carb) and thats about me.But then I might also add an entire chocolate mud cake if I feel like I need the extra carbs (somewhere around 200-300g carb) This cake is what I had to cut back on obviously! Wasnt getting fat but wasnt losing any either! (: Might still have the odd one here and there if Im feeling really depleted.

Shoveled down 400 grams last night. Cup of rice and a lot of ice cream (that's all i had in the fridge, lol) Actually feel tight today. I am hitting chest today so it will be a good test. Humm you guys might be onto something. Also eliminated the EAA as a pre-workout drinkas well. Do you think it might be beneficial as a post workout drink with my BCAA?

You can try it PWO if you wanted. I wouldn't see a problem since insulin is already spiked.

Cool, you know the crazy thing about this diet it? I ate 400 grams of carbs last night, and I lost 2 lbs since yesterday. My meals were 3/4 lbs T-bone steak and 3 eggs breakfast, 3/4 of a whole chicken and 4 slices of bacon for lunch, protein shake for snack, then my post WO protein carb shake , dinner was Indian food with chicken in a creamy curry sauce and about a cup of uncooked rice, then about an hr later 2 ice cream drumstick then another hr 3/4 gallon of ice cream. I am guessing it is around 3000 calories for the day and should have my 180 grams of protein in there. I think I am going to try to up it to 500 grams of carbs tonight.

Do yourself a favor and skip the protein shake for a snack.  If you need to eat something else make it fattier and a whole food. If portability is an issue I'd do 1/4 cup of almonds or something like that.
