RookieMemberI don't have the CBL book but recently the idea to switching to it from CNS has been playing on mind.Because of this I decided that I would once again read ND without framing it for CNS.So my question is about Chapter 6, The Protocols.I am purposely not mentioning the dosage(s) for the sake of the integrity of the book.On page 43 the section for "Nicotine For Carb Back-Loading" begins. On page 44 it clearly says "EVENING TRAINING PROTOCOL: (N)mg..." Then talks about there are subtle differences for SA & DB protocols....On page 45 it then says "(N)mg..."The question I have is that on page 44 the number is different to whats mentioned on page 45. Is this a typo or can anyone offer some clarification? If I am vague, I'm sorry. I just feel that if further information is said it would give someone a free pass to the protocol, rather than paying for it.

beellyParticipantI dunno if it's a typo, but I would just follow the specific protocol breakdowns for evening training that he lists.

As a smoker wanting to quit, I'll make a judgement call on how much to use 😉I have more than the dose in the protocol anyway....

Hey Rookie..Random question that is only loosely tied to the topic. As a smoker, do you find the nicotine gum helps things?I only ask because I've never been a smoker, but I get basically no effects at all from the gum. Even doing the 4mg with caffeine I don't feel anything. So it just makes me wonder if someone who actually smokes and trying to quit finds it to be effective in reducing cravings and such?

TCB:Short answer 1 - Yes, I find it especially helps with the cravings.Short answer 2 - No, I don't think it does anything for me at the gym regarding any sort of enhancement to my workout.I don't smoke that much anyway but i do (or did) smoke consistently. So it really does help in that regard. When I wake up I have 4mg after a coffee with Creatine, CO and HWC. I do experience a burning/tingling effect from taking it. About 3hrs later I have another coffee with HWC only and some more gum. This keeps me fasted from about 10pm (bed) to 6am (wake up) until about 12-1pm when I have my first meal. There's normally a bit of a shit storm in the middle somewhere. On the topic of shit, I have noticed that they look quite oily. There are no side-effects listed in the book so I don't know if this is normal or not and may actually be the way the body transports fat from itself. When it comes to the gym, pre work out is a good heaped serving of Jack3d with Creatine and another 4mg. At the gym I start with 30mins of HIIT. What I noticed here is after the HIIT I have a massive urge to dump and its generally messy. After this I hit the weights but I don't think that the nicotine helps me perform better. The urge/need/desire to smoke has completely disappeared and now I think its just a mental battle to get used to the idea of not smoking.HTH; apologies on the detail about bowel movements.

TCBParticipantHa..I was only referring to the help/lack of for the smoking. I was just curious since I don't really feel the effects of nicotine, if it was actually getting into my system like it should. Figure if it helps a smoker's cravings, it must be.And yeah, the only effect I get is the tingling/peppery taste.. But that's the part I like the most. I like the combo of the peppery with the mint gum and it makes me want to chew it more often just for the taste, ha. But I don't get the "buzz" effects at all. No idea if it's helped with fat loss, though.

Yeah I know... I was debating the idea of either a one word answer or something with a bit more detail... I chose both lolDo you experience the shit storm?

Nope. Was having some issues before I started using the nicotine, but I cleared everything up by ramping up my gut health protocol. Everything is peachy now.Except I'm about to start on a 2week dose of a nasty wide-spectrum anti-biotic which is gonna eff things up. So I'm going to take a pre and probiotic in concert with the antibiotic for damage mitigation. But that's another story/topic/thread. 😉
