That's another good one. I have an app that is more or less the same thing on my phone as well.

sebiffParticipantIn my experience it makes a huge difference having carbs at night/before sleeping.I did Atkins, low carb/timed carb and what have you not but only with backloading I´m actually tired and fall asleep quite fast.My advices: have some fat in the backload and don´t backload to close to sleep. That helped me. Also, reducing gluten made my morning appearance more tolerable (i.e. carb hangover and bloating). Right now I´m experimenting with the volume of food during backloads and how they influence bloat and sleep (less potatoes/rice and more cookies).

Richard SchmittModeratorI have a automatics brightness deal within my phone but doesn't dim when needed haha. Trevor, what is that app called if you don't mind me asking? I have F.Lux on my laptop too. Only problem is when I'm watching movies it doesn't dim and the audio fluctuates >=[ TV edition would be nice Glitch!!CBach, if you want PM on the side. But the reason Nugo Bars seem unappealing is because of what happened Sunday. They are easily accessible and you downed a whole box. It was unnecessary. Not bashing you at all bro, just some products are the "devil" (Waterboy's Mama Voice)

CBachelor17MemberYea certainly Tex. I know your not bashing, and I totally agree. Calorie dense “non_optimal” carb/protein/fat source. Thats why Im going to stay away from them after this prep phase. And another reason why Im redoing the prep phase. I generally have a lot better control than that. But the link “mentally” between Training->Backloading told me it was ok to just eat all that shit. But it was really because the Mint Chocolate Chip craving “fat kid” inside me wanted more sweets. a

OurkoParticipantI voted “Moderatly” but…- i sleep very well with CBL if my carbs aren't too much junk, and with some fats.- my sleep is horrible after a huge junky carb nite, just can't sleep or woke up very often.- my sleep was shorter in ULC with a ratio (in grams) P>F; and is nearly perfect as i upped my fat intake : P<F or P=F.

Gl;itch.eMemberIm hoping we can get a TON more experiences here. Id like to compile a list of commonalities and see where we can make positive changes to help with the diet and sleep quality.

+1 It would be a good thing to get a natural way to incorporate improved sleep.Supplementing is expensive, and the <Supplements I have to take the better IMO

f.luxI wish I could put a vote in on this topic.. But really, I don't have any correlations. I'm always off and on with my sleep. Almost always in bed for 9+ hours, but sometimes I wake up once a night, sometimes I wake up 4-5 times a night, sometimes a dozen or more. I have no idea what variables are causing the outcomes for my self.. It's an extremely long process trying to figure it out.

Might be a good idea to keep a log of your diet and sleep.

I do log my diet.. But that's the thing. I can eat the exact same meals (literally exact. I'm a big routine person) and have drastically different sleep from one night to the next. My current theory is some sort of gut impairment/dysbiosis.. So I'm going to start a couple week focus of really hammering health for my gut. Bone broth, probiotics, enzymes, etc.
